Great product. I applied it to my travel trailer ...
Great product. I applied it to my travel trailer a year ago and it came out perfect. My EPDM roof was starting to have large sections of black showing through after 15 years out in the sun. The steps I took to recoat the roof were:1) Repaired any tears with Eternabond.2) Sanded top (smooth) part of any Eternabond and then applied rubber cement over top (per liquid roof instructions).3) Removed all old caulking.4) Replaced old plastic pieces on roof (for me that was the plumbing vent caps and fridge vent cap). Since I would be applying the liquid roof over the edge of the plastic pieces (this is from liquid roof instructions), it would require cutting the liquid roof membrane to service the plastic pieces in the future. My 15 year old plastic pieces were looking pretty bad anyways so I decided to replace them.5) Recaulk over all removed caulking. This includes the new plastic pieces I replaced. They would get some self leveling caulk and then the liquid roof applied over that caulking (along with the rest of the roof).-- just getting this far took me pretty much a full day -- I then had to wait for the caulk to completely dry, which I gave it a week.6) Clean the entire roof. I used a medium bristle brush and simple green cleaner. Lots of white roofing material came off. I recommend lifting the front of the RV so more water will roll off the back. This cleaning process creates a big mess and will likely stain concrete. BEST TIP - while you are cleaning the roof, have someone else hosing down the sides of the RV, cleaning away what is coming off the roof. I didn't do this and the roof debris dried on the side of the RV. It took me about twice as long to clean the sides of the RV as it did to clean the roof.7) Wait overnight for roof to completely dry.8) I used blue painters tape and masked off the metal bottom of the air conditioner as well as around the entire roof edge.9) Mix up liquid roof with 1/2" corded drill and mixing bit, per instructions.10) I brushed liquid roof around edges, vent openings, plastic pieces, etc (cutting in essentially). Then I poured it on the roof in an "S" shape and smoothed out with a squeegee. I had a 1/4" notch trowel as well, but found the squeegee worked best.11) Remove tape and throw away all application tools. I did clean off the drill mixing tool with mineral spirits. My 25' RV used a full 4 gallons of product (no slide outs). I barely had enough to cover my roof. 5 gallons of product would have been preferred. The roof bubbled up a lot post application, exactly how everyone else described. After two weeks it mostly laid back down but still had a couple bubbles.I just got on the roof a year later and all bubbles are gone and it looks perfect. I didn't have any water intrusion issues previously, this was more of a maintenance project, but I still don't have water intrusion problems and the roof looks brand new.

Fantastic product when used as directed...
Liquid Roof RV Roof Coating & Repair 1 GallonMy older motorhome apparently developed a small leak after non-use for 4 years. I am the 2nd owner. When I started checking it out I found that the previous owner had used all sorts of products on the roof to stop what I assume was a leak in the front of the roof. Both petroleum based products and elastomeric roof coating. This did not make me happy, LOL. As a result of what I saw, I took down the whole roof to the aluminum, removed and/or replaced any fittings, or vents that I felt needed replacing and started from the ground up, so to speak. I used new termination bars on the edges of the roof and replaced any butyl under the edges with new stuff. I used acetone to clean any areas where I was planning to tape. I used Better Than Eternabond Better Than Eternabond Roofing and RV White Rubber Repair Tape 6" x 50' to tape all edges of the roof and around all of the fixtures. Before I put down the tape, I used Dicor Primer to prep anywhere the tape was to be used. After taping I then put down the termination bars on the roof edges, used Dicor self-leveling lap sealant https://www.amazon.com/Dicor-Self-Leveling-Lap-Sealant-Pack/dp/B00G6KGPFM/ref=sr_1_cc_2?s=aps&ie=UTF8&qid=1471368555&sr=1-2-catcorr&keywords=dicor+self+leveling+lap+sealant to seal the new stainless screws The Hillman Group 70910 8 X 2-Inch Stainless Steel Pan Head Square Drive Sheet Metal Screw, 100-Pack, re-primed over everything including the tape, and then painted the whole roof with Liquid Roof. I am tickled pink with the results. It has been through several greater than 2 inch downpours and it has not leaked a drop. Of note is the fact that this product does need to be mixed very well. I ended up using less than the stated amount that should be used and it sealed well. I also found out that if the product is too thick to apply easily, it can be thinned using mineral spirits without detriment to the product. I thinned it using about 20% odorless mineral spirits by volume and it applied much more easily. I also was able to stop the catalyzing reaction by putting the already mixed product into the freezer for about one week. This allowed me to come back later and give certain areas another coat of EPDM i.e. the edges of the roof and the taped areas around the fixtures. I highly recommend this product when used in conjunction with these other products. I do not anticipate ever having to do this again. By starting from the ground up, should this product ever start to show signs of deterioration I should be able to just clean it well, and recoat with and additional painting of Liquid Roof.

Great sealant but hold on to the can!
This product works very well in conjunction with the Eterna-bond tape. However, be prepared for some mess. Use gloves and old clothing when applying this product and hold on to the can when attempting to mix with a mixing paddle. This is from experience! I used a heavy duty half inch drill with a mixing blade to mix this stuff. It's very thick and to thoroughly mix it you have to begin slowly. If you attempt to turn the drill up full speed without holding the can, you'll be sorry...just saying! I did it and it wasn't nice! However, I was able to salvage my mishap and it covered about 1/3 of my bus with one gallon. Work steady though, it dries quickly in warmer weather. It sealed my bus well. We haven't had any leaks since, even with 10" of rain. We are grateful for that! I wouldn't try mixing any more than 1 gallon at a time. You would need too many people to help spread it and roll it before it begins to become unworkable.
