Stops Surround sound receiver working.
Can't fault the picture quality, however, when it is plugged in to the TV, it stops me from being able to control my surround sound. It defaults to the TV speakers, and therefore, I am unable to control the sound on my surround sound receiver. As soon as it is unplugged from the TV, everything works as it should. Disappointed.

Lots of trial and error to get it right but works flawlessly.
*Quick Edit*--I never gave numbers. Going to a home theater amp then to a tv introduces a 100ms delay. While this is easy to fix for watching movies by adding a delay to the audio of 100ms, you cannot do this for gaming. Instead you want to remove as much delay as possible. This device brought it down to 20ms.--I've always found running HDMI from preamps to tvs or tvs to preamps causes a delay. Very minor and no one seems to notice but it drives me absolutely nuts. Even worse is video games where a 1/10th of a second counts. Which is also about the delay is going HDMI from one device thru to another. The biggest issue with this device was teaching my programmable remote to do the commands. This seems to be an issue with smaller Chinese electronics. It takes a good 5 or more tries till it takes the command right.Another issue this seemed to solve was on my PS4 there would be audio artifacts in video games. I'm not sure what it is but this fixed it.Anyways sending audio to my tube preamp with optical dac worked great.Another thing you'll have to figure out is the setting for your device that will pass thru correctly depending on your audio system. On the PS4 DTS audio worked best with 2 channel audio. On PCM and Dolby it seems some sounds were lost in the process. In the Roku DTS/stereo worked best with my setup.Again it's a lot of trial and error to make this perform correctly. But once setup it's fantastic.

Tried the rest and this one’s the best
Excellent build quality and finish with a smooth brushed aluminum casing and bright LED indicators. All ports are very secure, not loose at all. Has optical and 3.5mm output. Passes up to 4K 60hz signal with my setup which is an Xbox Series X paired with an Alienware 165hz 1440p monitor but the audio extractor is advertised up to 8k. This is one of the only audio extractors on the market that will support 1440p 120hz w/ VRR and HDR on Xbox Series X which is perfect if you’re looking for an audio solution for a high refresh rate monitor with no audio out jack. Before trying this, I had purchased three different audio extractors over the past couple of weeks, one from JTech Digital which worked great 1440p 120hz but disabled VRR and two from EZCOO which were absolute garbage and only allowed the monitor to work at 640p for one of them and the other only allowed 1440 at 60hz despite both being advertised to work exactly the way as the llano does and costing just as much if not more money.I found out about this llano audio extractor in YouTube comments after spending tons of time researching and reading Reddit on other potential solutions but as long as this one lasts a while, I can’t recommend it enough.

Works but line out is quiet
This switch and audio extractor works as it should. I tested it with a Nintendo Switch and a PS5. The PS5 had all the features it should, such as 4k120 and VRR. However, the 3.5mm line out volume is quieter than the optical out volume. I am guessing the DAC inside this switch is not the highest quality. I decided to go with a different, less expensive switch that outputs optical only and am using a stand-alone Fiio D3 DAC for my setup. The combination I am using was a similar price to this model, but the DAC is noticeably better.

Finally! An HDMI 4K 120Hz switch with audio extraction that works!
I've tried multiple different HDMI switches with audio extraction as well as stand alone hdmi audio extractors that have not worked or been glitchy. I was about ready to give up on this as a possibility, but this switch works perfectly! It allows me to use both my XBox Series X and PlayStation 5 consoles on my Asus gaming monitor at 4K 120Hz with HDR and everything works as it should.Don't be tempted by less expensive alternatives. They're not worth it. This switch works as advertised and is well worth the money!
