Crazy Korean Cooking Dolsot Korean Stone Bowl with Lid (No Trivet) (Size 4)

Crisps up my rice perfectly, just how I like it. It's very sturdy and durable and it looks great, too! The only curious thing is that it says [no trivet], but it definitely came with a plastic trivet. No complaints! I love using this. It even works on my electric stovetop! All I do is use about 1 tbsp of sesame oil and wipe it around the bowl, and then fill it with cooked rice.

Small bowl that is perfect for one person. I like to make a quick soup in this bowl on chilly days & this bowl is perfect as a personal bowl once finished! Extremely easy to clean, nothing sticks, keep my soups boiling hot & delicious. Am planning on buying another one for my S/O that we way we both have our personal bowls of soup fresh off the stove.

Bibimbap is one of my favorite dishes in the world, and the staple of it is that crispy crunchy rice that you really only get with a dol sot. After much searching and reading of reviews, this one was the clear winner! The quality and durability is excellent. I’ve used it about 12 times since purchasing for various recipes. The ease of just cooking right on the stove top makes life a little easier for my clumsy self (less burns, yay!). There was a small learning curve with how hot my specific stove heated the dol sot, so definitely keep an eye on what time works best with your stove’s low heat. An extra selling point was the packaging, which was mostly recyclable! Definitely a great buy!

This pot is amazing. The amount of heat it holds is unreal. I saw a man make eggs in this pot using a gas stove. It looked so good I ordered it. I don't have a gas stove, only electric, but works just as well. I underestimated the heat this pot would produce and burnt my eggs a little. It retains heat for a very long time. You can make eggs, soup anything you can imagine . I bet you could even make a small cake in it also. Best investment. Will order more.

This is a fantastic little pot, with very sturdy and thick walls. I used it to slow cook my beef stew in 6qt Instant Pot. It is wonderful at keeping and distributing heat evenly and I will use it for cooking soups and stews, maybe beans. I know that sturdy stoneware also withstands pressure quite well in Instant Pot. I never intended it to go on stove top though. I was so impressed that I ordered another one in case this one gets broken which however seems very unlikely.

I ordered one of the bowls to check it out and then a second one for my husband. I made my first dolsot bibimbap this evening with just what I had in the fridge and pantry. These pots performed beautifully. Since it was my first time making the dish, I didn't let the pots sit on the flame long enough to get a really good crispy bottom layer of rice, but that's just going to take time to learn. What was so wonderful was how hot they kept the rice and other ingredients. My last bite was still warm and cozy. You won't regret the purchase. I plan to order more for gifts.

Good product. The bowl and lid have a dark brown color while the trivet is black. The contrast is a little off-putting but I hardly use the trivet, if at all. Worth it for the price; I'd go for the trivet-less option.
