Unexpectedly sweet (in a good way!)
This vinegar seasoning adds a rich, tangy flavor that’s significantly sweeter than liquid malt vinegar. I was surprised when I first tried it, but I really like its flavor! My only complaint is that it can clump a bit if you add it to something that contains liquid, partly because it doesn’t always sprinkle evenly. Just handle it more like cornstarch than a spice mix, and it’ll work great! My favorite use for it so far is turning ketchup into a more interesting dipping sauce, since it doesn’t thin the ketchup like liquid vinegar does.

Fun malt vinegar interpretation! Could use doctoring up
Not as sour as I expected, but still does have that malty funk so when I combined with citric acid I got just the mix of funk and sour that I craved from a dry season malt vinegar!Does it compare to the real thing? Somewhat, but yes much more mild - which might be good for some but bad for others. It's quite sweet too which makes me wonder exactly how much sugar is in this but unfortunately doesn't mention anything

Great on popcorn and cucumbers
I went to culinary school and love trying many different spices. When I saw this malt vinegar powder I had to have it because I had never seen such a thing. When it arrived I immediately opened it and was hit with that lovely malt vinegar scent. First I tried it on popcorn and let me tell you it was great. Like salt and vinegar chips? Imagine slat and vinegar popcorn! This powder isn’t quite as sour as the usual malt vinegar but actually has a little unexpected sweetness to it. I enjoy experimenting with this malt vinegar powder and really enjoy it on cucumbers as well. I am glad that I decided to give this malt vinegar powder a try, it adds a little zing to boring foods.

more malt than vinegar
somewhat disappointing.expected stronger flavor, more tang like on salt vinegar potato chips.kinda takes a lot for even mild flavor.might be buying different vinegar powder to bolster this.

Very finely ground, not overly sharp flavor
If you like malt vinegar with foods that get soggy, this is a good alternative. It's not as sharp as liquid malt vinegar, but french fries don't get soggy and stay hot. It's a very fine powder and it's easy to mix into other fluids but it's difficult to use as a condiment. Put it in a bag on top of whatever you're seasoning and shake and you'll get better results than if you used it like a salt shaker. This is a good addition to the spice rack.

Delicious
My family has really enjoyed cooking with and eating this. We've been putting it on roast chicken and it's been adding an extra tangy level of flavor. The amount we ordered is just right, I think we'll be able to use it up before it goes stale. I like keeping acidic powders around, because it gives me options for when I need more depth of flavor, but don't want to add more liquid. Would order again!

Good flavor! Great for seasoning and making your own foods!
The "GranAroma Malt Vinegar Powder, Tangy Flavor, Chips & Dips, Dissolvable (3.44 Ounce)" from the the GranAroma Store is a great addition to my kitchen.I was happy to find this as I make a lot of my own homemade low/no sodium foods and so I need a large supply of individual ingredients. I prefer powders as much as possible as they are easier to store and keep together. I purchased red wine vinegar powder and apple cider vinegar powder a year or two ago. I don't recall seeing a malt vinegar powder. The powdered vinegar is good for not only making your own foods but adding flavor to individual dishes and even as seasoning. While I have only used this so far in dressings and seasoning on a variety of foods, I'm looking forward to using it in 'pickling' garden produce (cucumbers, zucchini, mushrooms, hot peppers, onions, and whatever else I decide to throw in). Right now, I am mostly learning the flavor profile of the malt since it is newish for me. It doesn't seem quite as strong tasting as regular vinegar which is great for my seasoning use. I'm very happy with this and appreciate having it.The 3.44oz container comes in a plastic bottle with a screw on lid. The lid has an opening for measuring spoons as well as large holes for sprinkling. I received my jar in August 2024. The best by date isn't until 07/2026. Country of Origin: USA
