Great product that we can use for camping or emergency. I'm always worried I won't have a way to light a fire. This is great quality and compact so it doesn't take up a lot of space. I'll recommend it for sure.

Lightweight small and packable. I throw this in my rich as an option if needed. Top quality items and great value for the money. Easy to use even as a first timer. Throws perfect sparks and performs flawlessly. Items all seem to be durable.

The Ferro rod and striker are very nice, and the telescoping fire prod is very handy.

Everything about this kit is very high quality and better quality than I expected from the photos.The nylon case is made from thick material with a very strong carabineer. The Ferro rod is thicker and bigger than a small cheap one that I already own and produces a huge shower of sparks using the attached little multi tool.The little multi tool has a raised, sharpened edge that you use for creating the sparks in case you don't discover that on your own, but you can use the back of a knife as well (not the sharp edge of your knife!)I life that this kit comes with the cord that can be used as tinder and the extening blowpipe to turn Sparks into a fire..And the truth is that most of us are only going to use a Ferro rod because it's fun or in an emergency survival situation, so the addition of a very high quality waterproof metal match box with waterproof long burning matches is a real bonus that adds a lot of extra value to the kit for most regular fire starting needs while camping.I also like that many of the parts are orange colored because that makes it easier to find in the dark or if you drop something in the dirt while camping.

Wow, this thing is very nice. Has everything packaged up into a small, light weight container that fits right into any crevice of my packs. I’ll probably buy a few more to keep in different places. 5 stars!

The media could not be loaded. So many useful items are included in this fire starter kit! I am excited to add it to my backpacking essentials! Most importantly though it works! To test it out, I went to my backyard fire pit and used a few strands of the fire starter rope (pictured), one of the waterproof matches and the striker on the match container. With just a couple strikes of the match a flame was lit, that flame quickly caught hold of the rope and just like that we had fire! (See video).

This kit is all I need to round out my go bag. Everything is well made and easy to use. I’m very please with my purchase. Thinking about getting a second one to put in my wife’s trunk just in case…
