Bulldog Gear® - Tactical Backpack Gym Bag

I've been in the market for a new gym bag as my old one (a Strength Shop locker bag) had started to rapidly fall apart after 11 months of use. Even then, it had required quite a bit of duct tape to last as long as it did!To add some more context, I go to the gym during my lunch break, so I have to get my workout done as quickly as possible. To help with this I take all my own cable attachments, some of which are metal and heavy, plus a couple of 1.25KG plates. Basically all the stuff that's in short supply and seems to vanish as soon as you need to use it! This means my gym bag can easily weigh around 10KG depending on what I'm training that day, so it does get put through it's paces. I think that perhaps my previous bag was not designed with this usage in mind, and was more intended for carrying shoes, towels and clothing!As I need my bag with me on the gym floor, I also need it to be as small as possible whilst fitting all my stuff in it so I'm not causing an obstruction to anyone. Technically speaking (i.e. according to the rules), my gym doesn't allow bags on the gym floor, but they turn a blind eye to it if they can see that you're being considerate to other gym users and not causing a trip hazard.I didn't want "pay cheap, pay twice" again, so I decided to look a bit more upmarket for my next bag. I was quite close to pulling the trigger on a "Built for Athletes" 45L Pro Series Gym Backpack, but the £199 price tag seemed excessive and unjustified, even if it does appear to be excellent quality. It was then that I came across this bag, which seemed to offer all the same features and build quality, for only £59.99. Note that I'd not seen either bag in person at this point, so I was just going off the marketing materials.Now that the bag has been delivered, I am very pleased with my purchase. It seems to be absolutely bombproof and is extremely comfortable on my shoulder when loaded up (unlike my old bag). There's also a plethora of pockets to choose from, which is very important for me. I need to be able to carry a combination of hard and heavy metal items, along with more delicate items like my car keys and phone, so I need to be able to separate them properly to prevent expensive accidents from happening. No problem with this bag!Tightening up the side straps allow you to reduce the depth of the bag once it's loaded up, making it as space efficient as possible which is perfect for me. Another box ticked! Also the backpack form factor means that it has a small footprint when stood up vertically, unlike the duffle-style bags. This means my new bag will take up less floor space in the gym than my old one, despite holding more.In terms of looks, I really like the bag, and it just oozes quality. Just to clarify something which isn't clear from the photos, it actually comes with two Velcro patches for sticking on the back of the bag. A small-ish rectangular "Bulldog Gear" patch and a black and white Union Jack patch. If you scroll down and look at the pictures in the item description, the image of the blonde woman shows the two patches I'm referring to. Both of these patches look really smart so I've got them both fitted. You can also buy various other patches direct from their web site, as well as many other sellers on Amazon, so there's plenty of personalisation options if that matters to you.Overall I'm very pleased with my purchase and look forward to putting it through it's paces.
