*Updated* broke within first week
I'm VERY handy. I remodel entire houses, but this dang gate had me extremely frustrated. The instructions were not clear and all the parts look very similar. The measurements are ridiculous (i.e. 5.65")I gave up putting it together after 2 hours.A week later, it's still not assembled.*UPDATE*This didn't even last two weeks. Absolute garbage. All of the "seams" sepatated where the dowels are.Then it eventually just broke off the wall completely.I bought this to keep my small dog in the kitchen area of our house. First the gate was too high, the gog could easily slip under it.Then, the doweled connection points kept separating from the tension.After one week, the hinges on the swing side of the wall rotated downward from pointing up to pointing down, but this ended up being a "blessing in disguise" because it removed the large gap between the floor and the gate. The gate now rested on the floor. However, because of this it now no longer lined up with the locking mechanism on the other wall (4" too short). So we just didn't lock it and treated it like a "saloon door".One more week later, the door was being swing open (admittedly aggressively by my 5yo) but not slammed... just normal 5yo without a care in the world swinging it open and the bracket on the Hinge side completely snapped from the screw (the hardware is all plastic).In conclusion, nit only was this the absolute most frustrating thing I've ever assembled, but it was garbage from day one. You shouldn't have to treat a gate like fine china to keep it from breaking in less than two weeks.

Good pet gate
We've had the gate installed for three weeks now and it is holding up very well. Installation took about 2 hours, probably could have cut it down to 1.5 if we had battery powered screw driver. We like the fact that spacing is close enough to provide protection yet open enough to provide open view. All in all very satisfied with the results for the price.

GREAT GATE once you figure out the installtion.
My husband is super handy, yet putting this gate together was super challenging. First of all it comes without a single attached so you must build it prior to installing. The instructions are not that intuitive; it was a bit stressful. After that frustration was behind us, I really LOVE THE ACTUAL GATE! It's sturdy, easy to open, swings both directions. Now, I'm happy. :)

This is a great gate for our needs, been looking for years. High quality, well made, easy to assemble. Great customer service from manufacturer when I had a question.

The wood on that very out side broke so now it’s useless

Gate is really nice. With exception
Bolts that lock into brackets constantly loosening and need to be readjusted daily. Other than that… The gate is exactly what we wanted. Very nice. But… the bolts that lock into the brackets keep loosening up and need to be readjusted daily. How do I get these bolts to stay permanently in the position I adjust them to?
