Can this machine be used to sew 4mm thick leather plus fabric?

Hi. Sorry I have not tried this. I suspect that the leather would be too thick, even with the correct needles. At a guess the maximum thickness for any material trevelling under the foot would have to be less than 7 mm.

Is there a jam proof bobin system?

Not sure what you mean. I’ve never had any trouble with the bobbin jamming...
