Solar works very well killing bugs!
The media could not be loaded. I wanted a bug zapper for the backyard because every time the sliding door is opened into the backyard, mosquittos & large flies come in the house, not to mention, the kids get bit when playing outside. It is very easy to use. Just had to assemble the stands. Not complicated. And pushed easily into the dirt. It was smaller than I thought it would be, but still works. We did plug it in the first day to be sure it would charge fully, as we wanted to use it that night. Since then, it has been charging via solar panel.Has been killing a lot of bugs too. You can't really see the mosquitos in pictures, but it has been working. Not getting bit anymore, nor having them come in the house. Also caught moths & wasps. Did a search around the house to find a wasp nest after I saw one in bug zapper and knocked down the wasp nest. I'd highly reccomend.Nighttime photos are taken from my upstairs bedroom through the screen, so not very clear, but you can see the blue light panel looking down at the zapper. You can also hear the zapping. I used a night-time setting, so even though the neighbor next door had their outdoor lights turned off, I was able to get a bright view of their yard. The zapper is right on my side of the fence in the pitch dark. In the video, you can hear a bug being zapper for 10 seconds. I cut the video down from 30 seconds of non-stop zapping. We have Japanese beetles on our fig tree, and quite large moths flying around, as well as mosquittos flying coach roaches, and wasps.

Mosquitos watch out!!!
I live near water, so mosquitos are always a problem every year. I have tried many things and was skeptical on how well this would work, but it came in yesterday and already put a dent in the local mosquito swarm on the first night. If I had the money, I would buy 10 more and have a mosquito barrier. 100/10 rating

I can see that it’s been working!
I got this to put at my cabin on a lake, to draw away and kill the bugs that tend to congregate on the door in the evenings. Every time I go out to stay there I can see new dead bugs either caught in the grate or on the ground near it. Only downside is the solar panel keeps wanting to tilt away from the sun, but it still seems to get enough juice to work.

Best Buy Ever
I love these, I have 2 in my front yard and can actually go out now without dreading fighting the little biting creatures that love me. I’m actually going to order two more for my back yard. I’m serious people, please buy these if you love going outside but attract every bug around. It’s been a great investment for me and my family…. ME MOSTLY!!!

Does not attract or kill bugs
This device looks so cool with the solar panel and all. Seemed convenient so you don’t have to plug it in, but the only problem is it doesn’t do what it is supposed to, namely attract and kill bugs. I typically have two cage style electric bug zapper plugged in and hanging near my deck and garage. I live in a rural area of Wisconsin and we have tons of mosquitoes, seems more than usual because of all the rain this year. Every day I have to clean my cage zappers with compressed air because the zap bars are completely coated with dead bugs. So I unplugged those zappers and put this one out after a couple days of charging it in the sun. And the next morning I had to inspect it very closely to find a bug or two. I would say it failed the functional test. I’m keeping the solar panel and figure it may come in useful for something in the future. I was a Quality Assurance Engineer for over 30 years and I’m able to evaluate products completely objectively and this one SUCKS!!

Impressed with the results!
I ordered this with the thought of controlling flying insects in the garden especially at night. I was impressed enough with it after a few days I ordered a second one. I have not been disappointed. I clean the zapper wire screen every second day. Cleaning brush was included.I keep them both on auto which turns them on at dark and off at dawn and allows them to solar charge all day. Zero problems with either one. Cost is very low for what you get in bug killing returns. Our garden area is approx. 65’ X 110’.Highly recommend.
