Nice iron
Great iron, seems a little light weight but works well.

A simple to use and effective steam generator iron that's great value for money.
This iron does exactly what you would want an iron to do and does it quite well. I got better results with this steam generator iron than any conventional steam iron I've used before. At first I was concerned about the lack of a water jet but soon discovered that, with the power of a steam generator iron, that feature isn't necessary. This results in an iron that's sleek, has fewer controls and is simple to use. Users needn't be concerned that the power cord, combined with the hose supplying the water, will make things difficult. The flex doesn't twist and has plenty of length to reach the end of larger ironing boards. Aesthetically the product is OK. There's noting to wow you but its an iron. The handle would look better if it folded down to be flush with the main body but that's just a personal gripe and doesn't affect its functionality in any way. I would however like to see a few things incorporated into the design, like, a handle that when extended, locks the iron into place to prevent it from being accidentally knocked of its stand. The main body's base would benefit from being slightly larger so it would sit more stably across a wider range of ironing board end plates with perhaps a means of attaching the device securely to them. A simple adjustable, rubber band arrangement could work quite well. That said, at this price point, I think what you get is rather good value for money.

It look good and easy to set up, BUT
The whole process of buying and setting up this steam generator iron was pretty easy. I had done a bit of research into these irons and thought I had a the right one, abeit at the low end of the price bracket. When it arrived I used it everything O.K. steamed alright, a bit of a new concept but O.K. After the second use I notice a mark on the sole plate, so when it was cold I attempted to clean it off - gently. I used it one more time and the mark was still there and on closer inspection it was the ceremic sole plate 'disintegrating'. Not what I expected. Therefore I contacted Amazon, and as usual they were able to refund my money and I have bought the more expensive Russell Hobbs with a stainless steel sole plate. Used it once so far so good. As they say you only get what you pay for.

No Steam after 5-months!
I had a Tower steam generator iron previously which lasted way past the 5-years. However, when it gave up, I purchased this one on the 20/03/25. Last week, 08/08/25, the steam button stopped working and so it doesn’t produce any steam anymore, making it really quite redundant. I have contacted the seller for a replacement or refund, let’s hope they do the right thing here. Updated: 20/08/2025 Having contacted the seller they have now provided a replacement unit. I contacted them on Sunday and by the Wednesday, it was outside my front door. Very fast and efficient service, thank you 😊

Great performance for the price
For the price of this product compared to more well known brand names it has some great features. In terms of the ironing performance, the iron heats up quickly and produces steam within a few minutes. The tank lasts for a long time (I used less than one tank ironing one load of very thick 100% cotton sheets which would have taken two on my last steam generator). The iron itself is heavy enough to give a good press to items but is still comfortable to use. The iron temperature is adjustable on the iron itself as opposed to the steam unit. Steam comes out at a lower rate like a regular steam iron but there is also a continuous steam button. The soleplate has a nice glide to it and the slim taper at the top of the iron makes it easy to iron details. Where this iron has most impressed me is design features which haven't been thought about on models way ahead of this in price. For example: -the cord of the iron is long enough that you can stand the generator on the floor while you iron, which is great because you don't need another table or try to balance it on the end of the ironing board. - there is space to neatly wrap the flex around the base so that it can be stored more easily - the iron sits very securely on the generator unit without the soleplate being in contact with the base - there is a handy carry handle which makes it easier to move around - the tank is completely removable from the generator unit which means you can fill it up directly from the tap and you don't come into contact with the steam. The only thing missing from this iron is a water spray, which I use very rarely and find it's needed less with a good steam generator anyway. I would rather save money and buy this model and a £1 spray bottle to use separately. If you are looking for a good quality, good value steam generator iron then I recommend you buy this.

Love mine!
I've waited 3 months to write this as I live in a very hard water area and have read some bad reviews about hard water being an issue. I've often posted reviews much too early after purchase and later found problems with products. I've read some poor and conflicting reviews about this Iron, but so far I've found it to be excellent. I live in a VERY hard water area and every iron I've ever owned has been slowly tortured and then slain by the dreaded limescale. I fully expect this iron will fall victim also at some point, but if it lasts me 2 years I will feel like I've had good value (most expensive irons give up on my local water after 1 year). The iron looks good, it performs well, and the hand-held section contrary to some reviews is very light compared to my last expensive steam iron. The advantage is that the water is held in the main body away from the iron itself. The steam pressure is great. I've not needed to use a separate spray to wet a garment as of yet, and I've ironed some stubborn creases. I did encounter one instance of 'brown water spurtage' (just a little), which occurred after 2 months. At that point I ran a common decalcifying product through the iron, and it has been fine ever since. It says not to do this, but it also says to use tap water, not ionised water - so I chose to ignore. There are a couple of key things with this iron: Don't use the 'continuous steam' switch for long periods (use for less than 10 seconds) The iron cannot retain enough heat and so water will inevitably start to spatter. The cable between the base unit and the iron is only about 1.5 meters long, so ensure you have somewhere to put the base unit close to where your ironing board is. For the price, I'm very happy with this. It is SO much better than my previous expensive 'normal' steam irons that produce very little steam and seem to die within 18 months.
