I love this ottoman but was not a fan of the legs. So I ordered another set of legs (off amazon) and had them custom cut. Once cut I stained them with wood stain, then used a brilllo pad and brown paint to get a weathered look. Turned out PERFECT!!! New legs look way better!!! Absolute gem! 💯 in love. I even took the risk and ordered the damaged boxed item and it is perfect. It was so easy to assemble.

For some reason, this item was diverted to the USPS for delivery. On delivery day, the USPS mail truck stopped in from of our driveway and got out and opened up the back. She looked for something for a bit and then got back in the truck, drove up a bit and put our mail in the box.That night I got an email from Amazon saying they "attempted delivery" at 9:56 pm and I'd have to go to the post office to pick it up myself. That was not going to happen even if the box would have fit in the car. Our post office is tiny and has many in long lines mask-less daily...no thanks.The following day, my husband hears a thud and looks out the window to see the mail truck driving off (it's not the normal delivery truck which came much later as normal). He goes outside to see a large badly damaged box set up in front of the garage in the light rain. He brings it in and we open it and while the box was literally torn in many places, the item itself wasn't damaged. It was a miracle.After setting the item out in the sun (covered to keep pollen off) for many hours for two days, we finally got the chemical smell out. This is common with fabric items from China so I knew it would likely work. Had it not, I would have had to return it. I got sick the first night from the strong rancid odor.Now for the good news. The item is not really brown, and it's also not cream or beige. It's more of a light taupe which worked perfect for my decor. The seller would do well to change the color to taupe which has many indications of tone. I'm sure the return rate must be high due to ppl looking at images thinking that brown is wrong which in fact, it is. But many think it's cream or ivory which is certainly isn't.More good news is that even though the item is on casters, it doesn't roll easily. This is very good because if you have a beverage (on a tray) on it, someone bumping into the edge a bit won't cause an accident. More good news is that the item feels much more like a table than an ottoman. So if you're buying it for seating, choose something else. The firmness allows a tray to sit secure, and maybe even a large (waterproof) plant pot.One star off due to delivery and odor issues. Otherwise, very happy with this purchase!Now for the good news.

This was a second attempt at finding an ottoman for our linen/oatmeal-colored couch that is also low profile. I had ordered two of these. They arrived well packaged and were easy to assemble. They look nice (I liked the nailhead trim), but unfortunately, the fabric was too yellow to mix well with an oatmeal/linen fabric and they ended up being too tall for our couch (even not using the wheels). The return process was super easy, though, and they are nice looking, just more of a creamy yellow shade instead of a cooler oatmeal/linen.

Great ottoman, but the color was a surprise. All the photos in the review made it look cream/off-white. Description clearly states ‘brown’ which I should have paid more attention to and is more accurate. It’s similar to the color of burlap. Doesn’t go well with my gray couch and off white rug. Bummer!

This is way cuter and way sturdier than I expected since it was so affordable! It fits my classic decor theme, and it’s very easy to clean (just with a wet wipe).
