High Level Performance With Reduced Input Lag
I've been searching for a solution to get me to the absolute lowest possible input lag for gaming. This board is the answer as far as I'm concerned. These 2-DIMM boards with higher quality component interfaces seem to help a ton compared to my old hardware (Taichi Lite btw). It looks pretty ridiculous in my full size case, but I don't really care about looks. I'm all about that super snappy performance. Try it out if that's what you're chasing too.

Good motherboard but lacks some features
With my Asus z790i Gaming that had a dram issue in one dimm slot I decided to try out the ASRock PG Z90i. Let me tell you it does not disappoint. It ties into the sff theme without being too beefy like most itx boards are now. It has very solid power delivery stages and can hit rated ddr5 speeds out of the box without binning a board. ASRock has came a long was in the mobo scene. If Asus continues in the direction they are going ASRock will be my go to board mfg. Overclocking, undervolting, and overclocking ram are straight to the point in the bios. No onboard LEDS. Its a fantastic board. I'm going to miss LGA 1700.

long pause
Completed build only yesterday, but so far this no frills board has completely met all expectations. The 5600 memory read 5100 in the bios but I wasn't planning to overclock anything so that's satisfactory. Just wanted the capability. Have always had ASUS boards but their z790i seemed like overkill, especially if not overclocking. The ASRock board was a little slower starting Windows than I'm used to. I thought it wasn't reading my keyboard when prompted to "press any key". I kept checking my bios to make sure everything was in order. But I just had to wait it out longer than expected. Otherwise, no glitches.

Excellent Board, great investment
Super nice board. BIOS is easy to deal with and everything runs to rated speed. The layout is well thought out. This is an excellent choice for a z790i board!! Performance is even (no glitches), WiFi connects out of the box, just a great board to work with.

Best overclocking itx z790 board you can get for the price.
Great board with everything except Thunderbolt. Wish it had maybe a few more usb inputs.

Great MB, Simple 8000MT/s Ram, Slow Seller
The motherboard itself is a 4.5 star. trippodoshop who sold it reduces the stars to 3 star. As it came in 10 days beyond the expected ship date due to them not providing adequate paperwork to proceed through Customs. So it got stuck there which forced me to stay local for Christmas vs traveling to meet up with family... If theres any time crunch order elsewhere if possible. Onto the review of the actual ASRock Z790i Lightning Motherboard Pros: -8000 MT/s ram worked out of the box no special tuning just the XMP setup. Ram: Trident Z5 RGB F5-8000J3848H16GX2-TZ5RS, CPU 14900KF Everything works I've tested. I get better 0.1% lows with this setup than the 7950x3d and 9800x3d I had prior at 4k with my RTX 5090. (Unreal Engine 5 games utilize all the extra cores on here making much smoother experience than the AMD CPU's for games with shader loading) Cons: -If you are looking to tune your CPU to reduce voltage to it to keep it good forever the tutorials online are primarily Asus motherboard tutorials and ASRock doesn't have the same settings. So it takes a bit more of figuring to tune it. -All USB ports on the back are all USB 3.2. This has an interesting issue I never knew about till using this motherboard. USB 3.2 doesn't always play nice with wireless. Whereas USB 2.0 rarely had issues. I plugged my Razer Wolverine V3 Pro controller dongle in the rear USB along with a wireless keyboard mouse dongle. Turns out having both plugged in back caused interference where my controller/mouse would randomly not register my input or keep the input true such that my character would say keep aiming further upwards after I released the joystick. I found that I could resolve this issue by using the front USB on the case further away from the wifi of the system. Just something to be aware of that USB 2.0 is helpful if you want to be wireless. For the price it's a 5/5. Just be aware of the cons before ordering.

Good value, no issues
My ASRock Z790I is working fine. It's a good value although yes, status LEDs would be useful if it ever fails to boot. I haven't tried any overclocking or undervolting. My SFF build was all sourced from Amazon and includes; Intel i7-13700K Crucial Pro DDR5 RAM 32GB Kit (2x16GB) CL36 6000MHz Samsung 990 PRO SSD 1TB PCIe Gen4 NVMe Crucial T500 2TB Gen4 NVMe M.2 SSD MSI RTX4060 graphics Noctua chromax black NH-U12A cooler, two NF-A12x25 PWM fans, one NF-A14 PWM fan Cooler Master NR200P
