Honda 08L51-GET-101A Front Inner Basket

Update 8/11/15:Well last night I miraculously gained some confidence and decided to properly install the thing. The tape finally failed in the heat of the garage, and fresh off of my accomplishment of regrouting the bath surround I figured I was being a baby and just went for it. It only took about 15 minutes to do, most of which was spent changing the drill bits. Of course I had put the instructions "somewhere safe" so I couldn't find them, but someone on the urbanscooting forum had scanned them and had also provided some helpful hints! So that's it. I have upgraded to 5 stars cause it's not the basket's fault I'm a neurotic basket case!Original review 7/10/15:I couldn't bring myself to drill trough the plastic body of the scooter to install this, so I almost sent it back. After about 2 weeks of indecisiveness I decided I would try to attach it with gorilla tape. I still have the hardware and directions it came with in case I suddenly get the courage to drill, but for now the basket is very secure and you can't really see the tape at all as I only put it over the tabs where the screws would go. So far so good, I have definitely loaded it more than is recommended and there's no sign of it coming loose. I gave it four stars cause it seems there should be some other way to install it other than having to drill all the way through the front shield which is a potential disaster!

Had basket on My other Honda Metro so I knew I had to add one to the newest HM scooter I just got for the Wife:) Its Incredible, so nice to be able to thro extra keys, gloves, wrenchs, tools , Your hat, anything it is so handy I couldn't ride the scooter without it, so got it and amazinly Honda waqs smart enough to have the 2 lower screws is a location dimple that show You exactly where to locate it:) Once You have those 2 holes drilled and basket located on them then simple to mark the top two location holes as You lean the basket into place once the lower screws are in place:) As with everything else on the HM scooters they did wonderful job on them:) Pricey but one time without it and You will wish Ya had bought it:) Thx for a Great Product:)

Fit my Jazz like a glove in less than 5 minutes

I bought this for my 2003 Yamaha Vino (50cc). The attachments fit perfectly but the interior of the basket left some space on the inside. With some careful measurements prior to attaching to the basket and some measurements after attachment I was able to develop a template for a 'fitted' basket liner. I purchased an 18" square adhesive vinyl tile at my local hardware store which I cut to fit from the template. The adhesive glue on the bottom of the tile was easily removed with mineral spirits. This is a great addition to my scooter!

We have two scooters and one was without this fine basket. Though there is ample under-seat storage, this basket provides much needed storage for smaller items like your wallet, cell phone, a soda or even a sweater.Installation is easy and straightforward, but you'll need a pretty large drill bit to drill the holes. Overall time to install was less than 30 mins.Basket is sturdy, though do note the 3.3 lb limit.Item is a little pricey at $40 (what I paid here on Amazon), considering it's rubber coated metal, but it's really a necessity for our scoots.

I got this basket for my 2006 Honda Metropolitan. You will need a drill to drill pilot holes into the front panels. Other than that, very easy installation. I love having this, as it makes my Starbucks stops so much easier now!!

Hmm...Nothing wrong with the actual basket. However, I'm pretty sure it wasn't meant to be totally compatible with my 2006 Honda Metropolitan. The listing says it fits models 2002-2009, but it's a bit wonky, especially if you try and line it up with the punch marks on the 2006. We made it work, it's not totally flush with the leg shield in a few corners, but shouldn't cause too many issues.
