Why did you pick this product vs others?:Wanted to use course sand rather than perlite for soil mix for tropical plants. Definitely more expensive than perlite but can also be used for top layer of tropical plants and succulents

Good product that doesn't require a ton of rinsing before use.
I got these to use as the bottom of an underwater scene and when I rinsed the product in water it was already completely clean. All of it went straight to the bottom with no stray bits floating up like I have encountered with other products. The color looks very natural under water.
