Yes I believe adults would be able to train on this , I have seen in some reviews that the ball on the end has broken before, you may want to purchase an extra incase that happens .

no, it will dent the bat. My 5 y/o grandson can as he doesn't swing hard enough, but the 10 year old did dent his bat. You can use an old bat, but not a good one.
