Very capable little module, but fragile whilst developing
A feature-packed little module for prototyping ultra-portable and wearable products. Runs LVGL with ease with plenty of storage for sprites, animations and code. The display is crisp and bright with a responsive touch interface. I got one of these to develop a 'handler' watch for cosplayers and fursuiters to control electronics using ESP-NOW. Unfortunately the stack comes apart easily as the PCB is attached to the LCD backlight, which is only held on with a thin adhesive strip around the outside edge. Although stp files and dimensions are available for the module, a sample enclosure model would be beneficial as mine came apart from insertion and removal from test prints of a case. Even when in a case, if the PCB is not held absolutely firmly in place, insertion and removal of the USB cable causes the stack to come apart with the PCB and backlight falling away from the LCD, putting strain on the ribbon. Glue would fix this, however having it all glued in place whilst developing would not be ideal as any removal attempt would certainly pull the assembly apart. Perhaps WaveShare supplying the module with the PCB and display separate in the box would be better.

Works well
This is a great way to get some programming done and see what you can do with the small screen. It’s tailored as a watch but you can decide what you do. It’s powered by usb C, which is a must have and the screen is clear and bright enough. You can get the software needed from the website and there are data sheets available as well. Overall it’s pretty good for the cheap price with lots of potential.

Perfecto para hacer pequeños proyectos, en mi caso de domótica. Todavía estoy probando funcionalidades y la mejor forma de tener una alimentación independiente, pero todo correcto por ahora.

I had to remove the board from behind the screen (unstack it) because the aluminium backing of the screen totally kills the wifi signal. Networks are found but can't connect until you remove the double-sided tape and unstuck the screen and board
