THESE WORKED GREAT FOR ME! vs squirrels 100% GREAT PRODUCT not fooling around. i really like this product. great quality, great packaging. works.I put them up vs the squirrels running across deck 2x6 suspension beam for plant pot hangers. gnawing my siding and any wood. nothing else stopped them.BE CAREFUL !!!!!those points will go through light gloves no problem.its very flexible steel bendable and cut-able. plenty of holes for screws or whatever you want to mount it with. i sprayed side visible to deck people, so blends a bit more to wood. since it looks like some feudal medieval Japanese anti ninja castle stuff.Nothing in its right mind would want to touch it...it's like hypodermic sharp points or a razor lol. so put it where you and people and kids and pets wont contact it. REALLY BE MINDFUL of it when installing and concentrate lol i got a nice set of punctures and bit of slice across the fingers. I donated to the blood bank lol. so sharp you don't feel it till after lol. mech gloves wont help lol , was almost done, got distracted and used a screw bit that wasn't magnetic and way too short to keep my hands away. all the while balancing and holding on to rail. lol like one handed, one foot, knife juggling lol so i was dumb and cheap and in a hurry. lolso if using screws get a cheap magnetic bit holder that's 4 inch long about. not the deck screw bit that is 1/2 inch long, don't be cheap and do it fast, easy and safe lol. only really need a screw or two per section to hold it. i used short deck screws, they self tap and wont corrode and are painted, so if the item is stainless it will last a long time (no dissimilar metal to metal contact).if your going for crazy longevity perfection, i guess you could paint the area of wood that will be underneath, if your putting it on pressure treated wood, not sure how the current PTW works with stainless. anyway i think it will probably outlast me.the pigeon straight wire things never worked BTW. this does.last consideration if you have tons of trees like me, is pine needles etc, pine haven't fallen yet so see how that works if they collect...if that happens, will see if that is cleanable with blower lolgood luck bee safe and keep fingers away lol ;)

Excellent product to keep squirrels off my fence top. Well made. Easy to install

I am a "birder". I watch them, track them, and feed them. AND the squirrels and raccoons know it and go after my 9 feeders every chance they get. These spikes have p proven invaluable in keeping the critters away. Nothing else does it in my experience. Combine them with a pole guard collar with the spikes mounted on the top of the collar and you have a great feed protector. Easy to put together and install. Economical. OH....and be carefully handling the spikes...very sharp but malleable.

Like others mentioned, they are VERY sharp and work well for birds, however the spikes bend and break off quite easily with anything else heavier. Squirrels jumped on mine a few times and the spikes got flattened, then broke off when I tried to straighten them up again.

They are very sharp and can be a hazard for animals and small children, but I think they are great and have worked well for the squirrels and rabbits around my garden and potted plants

While these are Very Sharp and easy to apply (I used some wire), they did not stop the birds from trying to build a nest on them. Everyday I have to remove the debris they are adding. I am very surprised it does not deter them! Might be more useful for other pests.

This product really works. Have used the spikes for a few months. Keeps squirrels off roof. And a persistent red robin bird that wanted to use generator box to build a nest. Easy to use but wear gloves when handling. Have told neighbors and friends about spikes. Would definitely purchase Bird Spikes again.

I love these spikes!!! I wish I found these years ago. Every time in the past that I tried to plant fruit, vegetables and flowers, rodents (mice, chipmunks and squirrels) destroyed whatever I planted. Since I put these spikes around my plants, not one plant has been destroyed and no more digging of holes in my pots. These spikes are excellent quality, very sharp and sturdy. I bought 2 sets of 40 and have put them all to good use. I highly recommend these.
