Not much to preface this one with, other than mentioning that I am a very prolific chef, I usually cook a completely new recipe at least 4 times a week, so let's get straight to it. 𝙎𝙩𝙮𝙡𝙚: 5/5 As any good cook knows, cooking is both an art and a science, and the tools of the trade reflect that, you see all the influencers with pretty Damascus knives and patterned edge or end grain wood cutting boards, and this board would fit right into that scene, my kitchen isn't exactly small or cheap, but the cutting board alone makes me feel more like Gordon Ramsey than anything else I've bought or used in the past few months. 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲: 5/5 No other cutting board has given me nearly as pleasurable or smooth a cutting experience as this board, prior to this I've been using random cutting boards purchased at the local Ikea, nothing as expensive as this, but it is ENTIRELY worth the price, if I knew that a few months ago when I first bought it, I would've bought a bigger, fancier model, but I was originally skeptical as to exactly how much of an improvement it is over generic cutting boards. 𝙀𝙖𝙨𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝘾𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜: 5/5 You'd assume that since you can't just toss this into the dishwasher like other cutting boards, it would be considerably more difficult to wash this cutting board, but you'd be surprised to find that you're wrong, it's genuinely as easy as a good rinse, a swift patting down with a paper towel (a decent quality one like Bounty) or a dry towel/rag, and leaving it out to dry for a few hours. 𝗗𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆: 4/5 While it has picked up some scratch marks from my knife, they are purely cosmetic, I ran my hand across the board right after taking the photo attached to this review and there are, somehow, NO grooves, the scratches have ZERO depth, it's purely discoloration, the board is basically as good as new, no chips, grooves, cracks, or anything, I've even dropped it once, after applying mineral oil to it, and there was no issues. 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻: Buy this cutting board, you won't regret it

I had read some reviews that - in hindsight - suggested that this cutting board had problems: that it dried up, fell apart, etc. In spite of seeing those reviews, I bought this cutting board. Was that the right things to do?? Yes, yes, yes! I love this cutting board. The wood is beautiful, it is nice and heavy - has a good heft - and in general works very, very well.

The cutting board arrived in perfect condition, which was my biggest concern after reading some of the negative reviews. Before purchasing, I spent a lot of time comparing end-grain cutting boards and reading reviews, and this one seemed like the best choice. My wife and I cook frequently, using our cutting boards 4–6 times a week for both vegetables and meats, which is why you'll see two different cutting boards in the photo. So far, I'm very happy with the purchase. The board looks fantastic, feels well-made, and has a quality finish. I'll come back and update this review in about three months to share how well it holds up with regular use.

Update: I received a replacement cutting board today since the first one was cracked and this one also arrived cracked. It’s actually unbelievable to me and I’m so mad, I wasted all this time waiting for both of these boards only to have to return them. Since they already have cracks and haven’t even been used yet I can only imagine that they won’t last very long. Thanks for nothing, I will make sure everyone knows that your product sucks. Just opened this package, this is how the cutting board arrived. Super disappointed. Doesn’t seem like a very sturdy board unless they shipped this to me already cracked which would be even more disappointing that you’re trying to sell defective items.

It's the perfect size and heft and the wood is beautiful in person. There are a few spots with visible wood glue in the tiniest gaps between chunks of wood, and the end grain hadn't been 'popped' and sanded, so we had to do that ourselves after getting the board wet the first time. It also has a slight warp, but this is not severe enough that it will impact our use at all. Overall a beautiful board that will be perfect for our use, it was just a little below the craftsmanship that I expected and we had to do a little more up-front maintenance than I expected.

This cutting board is just as described by the seller. It also was shipped promptly. It is very solid and large enough to do most anything that I require. One reviewer mentioned marks that appeared to be water stains on the surface of the new board. I can see some of these on this board as well. They appear to be part of the wood pattern when it was cut. The ones on this board are quite faint and when I oiled it they blended in even more. They are not distracting for me. The back side of the board has small rubber feet that elevate it about 1/8 of an inch or so off of the counter. This is nice so that the bottom does not stay wet while I cut things if the counter happens to be wet when I set it down. The finish is smooth and the corners slightly rounded. The joining of each piece/glue is very well done. I have cut on it and have only left very minor marks on it. Of course, I have not beaten it with a meat cleaver either. :) We primarily use cutco knives, just to give you an idea of the sharpness and hardness of the blades being used on the surface of this cutting board. Overall, it is a very pretty cutting board that is also sturdy. With proper care this will last my lifetime and hopefully be able to be given to one of our children one day. I think they are already anticipating my demise so that they can get my wood and cast iron kitchen pieces!! We have begun selecting items that can last and maybe even become an heirloom one day. This is one of those items that is pretty enough and constructed well enough that it could become one of those items. I would definitely purchase this item or suggest it to a friend. It would also make a fantastic piece in a kitchen gift set.

I absolutely adore this Ironwood Gourmet square cutting board. It’s beautiful and adds such a nice touch to my kitchen. The wood grain is gorgeous and it feels very solid and well made. It’s not just pretty, it also works like a charm for everyday food prep. The surface is smooth, sturdy, and a great size for chopping or serving.

Beautiful end-grain acacia board with a nice knife feel. The foam feet only lasted a few weeks though, I replaced them with silicone drawer bumpers. Mineral oil & wax regularly to keep it looking great.

Wonderfully breakable product - with service people who do NO service, dance through hoops ,then “Oh you bought through Amazon, go see them” i would give zero but you cant

After just 6 months, with reasonably careful care, the board has spontaneously developed a split/crack at one end. It's 3 inches long and runs all the way through the board.

It was exactly as advertised. I love it. It’s solid, and beautiful.

Love the look! And it sits permanently on our counter. It came already seasoned but I still oiled it, but really didn't have too. I do after each use however. I'm very happy with it and would buy a bigger one next time. I bought another board (Wood for Chef) at the same time because my husband liked the groove in it. When it arrived, I put oil on it, and within minutes the board looked just as dry. It took me two weeks of oiling twice a day before it looked seasoned. I still haven't used it yet because I am still oiling it once a day, and will continue until it looks ready.
