These cylinders are made from quality materials, are designed to last for a very long time, and they have a superior interlock system for ensuring that the cylinders are easily and properly refilled without the possibility of being overfilled. The Mr. Heater Fuel Keg cylinders should be refilled using the proprietary refill adapter (Mr. Heater product F200049; please see ASIN: B0CVR1213L) which interfaces directly with the Fuel Keg propane cylinders and their proprietary interlock system. The use of the proprietary refill adapter is necessary so that the interlocked vent system will be operable to ensure that the Fuel Keg cylinders are fully fueled without the possibility of overfilling the cylinders. Overfilled cylinders are dangerous because they may vent propane gas as the temperature rises which may precipitate a fire or explosion hazard. I like these cylinders very much. They will have a long life due to their quality construction and they will pay for themselves in reduced propane costs. The valve mechanism is very well made and very robust. They are safe to use and safe to refill. There is one other thing to consider. If there is ever a problem with a Mr. Heater product, the Mr. Heater Customer Service operation is always there to make it right. I rate them at 100% because of my previous contacts with their organization. They are really great to deal with.
