Rust-Oleum 214944 Specialty Reflective Finish Spray, 10 oz, 6 Pack

I use this to mark my wooded trails to hike at night, yes, that’s a thing, and it reflects extremely brightly in my headlamp. These paint markers on trees and stones in the path last for years and years, even through winter after winter. Makes my trails look like an airport runway at night, even small spots of the paint show up from a distance. Makes my night romps a bit safer and more fun. And looks completely hidden in daylight.

Two out of four cans used, and only two cans resulted in reflective finish. Even though entire surface was sanded, then cleaned with acetone; three different surface areas did not become reflective. Tried respraying not-reflective areas, varying recommended spray distance, from semi-close, further away, and close. Light coats were used as recommended. On respraying one of areas, tried heavier coat. Still came out non-reflective. Tried using a flashlight to check reflective vs. non-reflective areas while recording on video. Still showed same areas as non reflective. Also tried rotating entire surface area 180-degrees to see if angle of lights were problem. Still, no difference in what areas did and did not reflect light. The areas which did become reflective are very reflective. It is like two of four cans did not have reflective material, only clear spray carrier.

Works great on the curbs of my driveway at night!

Did not work as described. I used to mark trees on a trail for night time running. Went back two days after marking with paint and found no reflective marking where I used the spray paint to mark the trail. Very disappointing
