When I purchased the color Toffee Rose #2, I was very new to lip stains and there is definitely a learning curve to applying them and getting a good result, especially on mature lips. But after doing some research and watching different videos, I finally got it figured out. The key is definitely making sure that your lips are exfoliated and hydrated. I found doing one lip at a time and peeling it off before doing my other lip worked pretty good and kept the color from getting all over.. I know most of them say to wait 10 to 15 minutes before peeling to get the full color, which I tested and I got the same color after allowing it to dry for five minutes as I did when I let it dry for 15. I also will open my mouth up real wide after it dries and kind of stretch my lip taunt and the coating literally will peel itself up, making it much easier to grab with the tweezers. Which by the way, don't bother with the stupid plastic ones it comes with just grab a regular set. Another thing that I've discovered that if the color is too harsh on certain areas of my lip, I will take a damp Q-tip and rub it across my lips to get rid of any other little flakes of peel still left, and it literally will even out the color and lightly fills in any areas I missed along my lip line. Another little trick that helped with actually spreading the thick consistency of the lip stain, is using a slightly wet Q-tip across my lip and then applying the lip stain. Doing that seem to help it glide on a little easier, especially around the lip line. It will look very dry when it comes off, so I immediately put on a hydrating lip balm. I found that Vaseline original lip. Therapy balm works very well for giving me some hydration back and a little bit of shine. As a side note if I'm not quite happy with the color or it seems a little blotchy I have put on a second thinner coat and let it dry for just a couple of minutes. I use a little hand fan to dry it, so it peels off easier. I usually put it on first thing in the morning and I still have plenty of color by the end of the day. I just use a shiny clear lip balm over the top of it, and as it starts to fade a little as the day goes on it looks more natural. I love not having to worry about pale ghost lips or getting lipstick on my teeth. Hope this helps. Just remember, it's never gonna look like exactly like the pictures and it takes a little bit of practice, but it's worth it.

Pretty color, works as described. Stays for several hours, the longer you leave it on initially the more vibrant the color. Would definitely order again, and would love to try other colors.

Super disappointed. Doesn’t stain at all. All color wiped off within an hour and it doesn’t dry fully and it was a mess to remove and clean up. It also is nothing like the color shown. I have full lips with a nice color already and I thought it would make them more vibrant but no it doesn’t match the color shown nor did it actually stain. It also says “Kaely Liquid Eyeshadow” on the tube label so idek what I received versus what I bought. Returning product.

This stain works very well and serves as a base color for my daily lip glosses. The quality of the “peel off” application is awful. I’ve tried many different application techniques and none will actually allow the product to peel off of lips.Using a rough cloth to rub the dark purple coating off works fine. There is some bleeding over the lip line, so careful application is necessary, but color is close to the color chosen and it absolutely stays on for at least 12 hours, or until makeup remover is applied! I’d buy again for the sale price, compared to the higher priced lip stains.

I’m obsessed with this peel-off lip stain. It lasts all day, and even though the shade guide is a little confusing, I ended up picking the perfect color. It looks natural but still gives just enough color, and I’ve already reordered it. The only downside is peeling it off. The included tweezers are totally useless, so I have to use my fingernails and pointed Q-tips (and Kleenex or toilet paper), which usually leaves my fingertips stained. It also takes some practice to get the application right because if your line isn’t clean or you mess up, the color is hard to remove. All that said, the results are worth it.

Very nice product, pigment is good and doesn’t take long for it to dry and are able to peel it off, I do wish I’d went for a more natural color as mine turned out super pink but as the day goes on it fades to a nice color

I got the neutral brown and it came out looking more redish pink than I expected. The stain felt drying on my lips, I felt like it took way too long to dry in comparison to other stains I have used. It was also annoying to peel off, and when I tried just wiping some of it off It turned into a huge mess that had my kid wondering if I was bleeding because of all the red stain that turned really runny when it touched water. Even when I managed to apply it and peel it off, it didn’t last anywhere near 12 hours let alone 24, I think it looked ok for maybe 3 hours. Sadly nothing about this product was a good fit for me, outside of the affordable price. The color was off, it was drying and difficult to peel off.
