AIYIMA DC48V 10A GaN Power Supply Adapter for TPA3255 Stereo Class D Amplifier A07 & A07 MAX & A08 PRO & A70

I upgraded the original 36V/6A power supplies on my two AIYIMA A07 Max amps to these 48V/10A units. I run the amps as monoblocks driving a pair of Paradigm Studio 40 speakers (8-ohm, bi-wired). The new power supplies are definitely larger than the originals, so don’t expect a smaller brick just because they’re GaN. That said, they feel well made and have been completely quiet in my system. The biggest improvement for me is the additional headroom. The system sounds more effortless when pushed, with better authority on bass-heavy and dynamic music (like Hedflux). I’m not going to claim it completely transformed the sound of the amplifiers, but the improvement is noticeable and worthwhile in my setup. I’ve had no noise, hum or reliability issues so far. If you’re running an A07 Max and want to take advantage of the higher-voltage power capability of the amp, particularly in a monoblock setup, I’m very happy with these.

Just what I needed to take the Aiyima A07 premium to the next level. This is not going to make the amplifier louder. It is going to make your audio output cleaner less distorted and more defined at all volume levels.

This is a high value product. The upgrade from the 36v stock brick to this beastie was well worth the price. The A07Max amp class D amps just soak up the current and deliver it smooth and unadulterated with the stock neutral chipset. I have seen frequency graphs and these things are very quiet. Good filters and cables are necessary for any audio. I had to order new female C17 Copper plugs for the Viborg cables as the new GaN bricks do not use the figure-8 style C8 so tack on $80 for a pair. I did not realize how much larger the bricks were until they arrived. I am very impressed. These are value priced and fast-ship. I normally run them for my Dolby Atmos speakers. They double as 300w/8 ohms monoblocks now. 1970 Coral BX-Multi1200e speakers with 1960’s 16/8 ohm NT-3B pro crossovers. Belden 9470 audiophile wiring. Recapped Miflex KPAL and Mundorf Evo Oil caps. 999 pure silver in clear pvc for reach. It takes time for good music to happen. These warm up to cruise after 3-4 hours.

Small amps Douk A5 claiming 600 watts with this power supply, how can that be if the 48v 10a power supply only puts out 480 watts, $70. Wasted trying to get the full 600 watts, a more expensive adjustable power supply might get it done.

Purchased to upgrade my Fosi 48 volt 5 amp power supply. Based on price and upgraded design this 10amp power supply brings out more power, dynamics, clarity. No noticeable hum or noise! Live in an area with a lot of cell towers and high power line. Absolutely no problems. For me it’s a great buy and does exactly what Fosi said theirs would do! Can not compare the to different power supplies as I didn’t have two Fosi power supplies. Fosi states that it up rated power supplies can increase power safely as the chip can handle 53 volts 12 amperage with and increase in power with increased need for ventilation. Yes, my amps run hotter so placement should be watched.A small inexpensive computer fan has been used on some of the reviewers will good results. I love the Fosi products. If you want to really hear and feel the increased power do the upgrade. You I’ll need two power supplies for the Fosi V3 Monoblock amplifiers.The manufacturer uses the same chip TI 3355 using the same voltage and amperage as well as adapter in their amplifiers.

If you are experiencing power supply noise, buy a couple of ferrite ring cores (RFI/EMI noise suppressors). Make sure they are large enough to loop both the input and output cables through them at least twice. This should completely eliminate the interference. 13mm should work fine for both sides of the power supply.

I bought this for an amplifier which came with a power supply but the maker stated that the amp would not put out its full potential watts unless you bought this larger power supply. I get it but when I use the larger power supply I can't tell any difference at preset volumes. I probably need to use a more scientific approach but I'm not that motivated.

The general concensus on the 'internet ' is that you would only see a benefit over , say , a 48v 5a on something like an Aiyima A20 would be at super high volumes where the small units couldn't supply the juice . Keep firmly in mind that most of the people making these claims run old AV amps , place their speakers on their Nan's old sideboard and listen to Bruce Springsteen MP3's off a phone . In other words...do not listen to these people . Even at moderate volumes this PSU 'unlocks' detail and particularly bass layers you had no idea were present in recordings. Seriously . Essential upgrade for the Aiyima A20 . Doesn't make the amp get hot either , might do on other amps .

Big and heavy and tough. No heating issues, does perfectly what it is meant for.
