Their warranty is garbage.
I loved my scooter until it stopped working. Under warranty, I had to ship it back for them to evaluate it. After 2-3 weeks, the company emailed me showing photos of my scooter after receiving it. Fedex DESTROYED my scooter. It was absolutely perfect when I shipped it(aside from the factory defected motor). I had it for a short time and my commute was less than half a mile. When it arrived at the warehouse for inspection, the scooter was broken, bent, scratched. Okai, said since it was damaged in transit, they aren't responsible. But hey! If I pay almost the full cost of a new scooter, they can fix it. I asked them to reach out to Fedex, the people in charge of shipping my scooter, if they could see what the process is for an insurance claim for damaged goods.. I heard nothing. I asked Fedex myself to look into it. They denied my claim because the company should be in contact with them. I reached out again to Okai to file a claim with Fedex to pay for damages. They will not respond. Their customer service contacts were amazing until they had my scooter at their warehouse, toeing the line with my ability to file a claim. They waited as long as possible to tell me they won't help me unless I spend another couple hundred dollars to get my property back in working condition. Now, the only outlet I have to to share my experience with their scamming company. I don't think I will ever get my scooter back without spending more money. So please buyers beware. I am out $500. I don't even have my scooter any more. If you can, spend your hard earned money on a company that will honor their warranty. This trash company will scam you, lead you in with kindness to help when their product fails, then charges you because someone else broke it. Pay a bit more for better customer service because these guys will try to get you in the end.
