Neat little lathe!
Neat little lathe! Definitely a micro lathe. Needed a small lathe for wood and plastic parts and this fits the bill perfectly! Only concern I have is the tool support is short and needs a better way to quickly adjust and clamp it back down; should be a fairly easy fix with a carriage bolt and wing nut.

Very very very flimsy and small.
I couldn't do anything with this Lathe. The small piece of wood that I tried to trim, stopped the motor and all that shaking, broke it's aluminum(I think) legs. Not worth it, very small, power might be good but motor is not strong. Keeps getting loosen from the metal grip. It's function is a headache.

Not good for a newbie
I've never worked a lathe before, though I have a general idea how it works and I am a woodworking hobbyist (experience with tablesaws, routers, mitre saw, planers, etc.). There is no detailed documentation on how to use this as a lathe. Going from the pictures on here, I was able to get a nice piece of squared off walnut chucked in securely, well balanced, and spinning. Using the tools provided, I have attempted three times to just round out the piece. I have only been successful in completely mutilating the piece of walnut. I'm not sure if the tools need to be sharpened, if walnut to too hard to work, or if I'm using the tools incorrectly; either way, I haven't figured it out yet. I'll update the review if I'm ever able to. 3-stars for being able to spin small things quickly.

Great for small parts
This little machine is surprisingly great for small metal and wood parts. Although it took some trial and error, along with YouTube tutorials, to get the hang of it, once mastered, it works well. The main issues are the vibrations it produces, which can be managed with a vice, and its smaller size than expected. Additionally, the motor can easily stop, especially at high speeds, so caution is necessary to avoid burning it out. Despite these drawbacks, it's a fine machine for the price, accommodating various tools like drill sets and circular blades. It's recommended for hobby machinists, offering enjoyment in crafting handles for tools. While some parts may be of lower quality and prone to stripping, with a bit of handiness, it fulfills its purpose effectively.
