i chose this product because it was very close to the original in design and feature , easy to fit , wiring is simple to read and do , would say you will be pleased with this lantern

very expensive for a thin plastic light. Easy to fit but has no control over the time the light stays on or PIR sensitivity. I have found that the lamp was on during the day and can only assume that bright/hot sunlight will activate the PIR? As it has only been up for a week it still requires further testing in all weather conditions. For less money, better looking, more robust and in a choice of materials, lights are available at your local B&Q.

works perfectly and looks smart on the wall

I already had 3 of these lanterns on our house and found I needed another on another corner. As the existing ones had been so good I thought I would buy a 4th. This one has gone in a very exposed position and time will tell if will last. Unfortunately the instructions that came with it were somewhat damaged being ripped and screwed up like part of the paper packaging that Amazon like to use, so a bit of an effort to sort out and follow. Luckily I was able to check the wiring on the existing lights and copy them.4 stars because its difficult to fit them flush with the wall as there is no cable channel in the back, so you may have to chip out some wall to achieve that. Then when you put the front on the back panel the fit is quite loose as they are supposed to be weather tight this is a bit strange and I spent ages trying to get a closer fit between the back and front. However looking at the existing 3 lanterns showed the same sort of fit and they've been fine for 4 years now so I guess this one will be okay.

Easy to fit and looks good

Just got back from B&Q,wish I'd gone there first as for same money could have got a beautiful looking brushed chrome or any other amount of good looking lanterns.This product has the look and feel of cheap flimsy plastic,wouldn't normally give a £5-er for it let alone the price for which it is advertised.Vandal-proof suggests something strong and sturdy which this definitely isn't.Thought for the money it would at least look quality,but alas looks so cheap and tacky I think I'll hide it in the back of a cupboard and buy something tasteful to put on the front of my house.Only went for this as it can't rust,but think I'll go back to conventional fitting and write this off as a big mistake.

Insubstantial, plastic, flexible backplate and cheap lamp holder. Low end product at a premium price. It gets two stars only because it works as described. Better products available for this price.
