We had our wedding abroad and were gone for 11 days. We tested this beforehand to make sure we get the right amount of food in the tank. Not the easiest I’d say, so the feeder part could do well with a bit of development but nonetheless it’s ok once you get it right. We wish the feeder could be timed and stopped etc whenever we want it but you only get 12/24/48 etc buttons on it, so it is what it is. As we left early in the morning when the tank is still dark that’s when we had to set the timer for 24hr interval which isn’t ideal, but I guess the fish found the food eventually as they all survived :D!Basically, does the job and if you ever need it this will take care of them without much organising from family, friends to pop over just to feed the fish. (Fish we have and worked well: rummy nose, neon tetra, cat fish, ghost fish. Worked ok when we had angel fish, guppies & gouramis too).

Used for a 2 week vacation and all the fish survived so does it job! Can be a little bit fiddly to get the right amount of food coming out & it’d be nice to turn it off without pulling the batteries but great piece of kit to have for situations like holiday

Ideally for anyone who doesn't have the option of a friend or family member to pop in and feed the fish while you are away. This Feeder gives peace of mind.I done a test run for 2 weeks before I went away so as to be 100% sure it worked and I wasn't let down. So I would recommend doing that practice run in the weeks prior to any away plans. My practice was done initially over a sheet of paper so I could get the right quantity of fish food to be dispensed. This took a few attempts to ensure there was no overfeeding. My fish were usually fed twice per week so had to adjust measurements to get same quantity spread over every 48hrs because that was longest option on feeder. Played around a bit also (again on paper) with the opening on shutter door to ensure amount scouped and dropped equaled the amount required. Once that was correct I then set the timer to every 48 hours and observed for 2 weeks. Needless to say, the fish were happy out with the new feeding arrangements and have got so used to the little sound when the feeder is rotating that they zoom under it at feed time. It's so cute that I've just left the feeder on the tank permanently - couldn't bare to take away their new 'dinner bell'.I suggest this feeder also for homes where feeding the fish is often a forgotten chore.Happy Fish so very happy customer :)

I have been keeping fish for over 50 years and have used many automatic feeders without any issues – until this one. I purchased the Atomic Fish Food Feeder and tested it for over a week before going on holiday. It seemed to work fine at first, delivering the correct amount of food.However, while I was away, the feeder malfunctioned and emptied the entire container of food into the tank, completely polluting the water. When I returned, all of my fish were dead – including 3 parrot fish I had cared for for over 10 years and a crown loach I had for nearly 15 years. The water was toxic from food overload, proving the feeder did not shut off properly and kept running.This was not user error – it was a serious product failure. The emotional and financial loss is huge, and these fish were irreplaceable.Avoid this product at all costs.

Have tried a few automatic feeders. This is my favourite by far. Can feed fish for a long time, I needed something to last 4 weeks, this does the job. 30 seconds to set up, easy to fill (don’t use flakes). I use pellets that sink and some the float all mixed in. Easy to adjust the quantity it dispenses. Lowest setting lets only a few bits of food out, so easy to set up not to over feed. Good design. Sturdy. Good value for money.

Excellent product for holidays

Functions well has variable and adjustable timing options. The only con is that it does not work well with flake food which is too light to move and fall with the rotations. I solve this by adding a mini granule food with the flake food to give weight and body to the food enabling it to move and be dispended with each turn.

Quantité réglable, bonne contenance et fiable au niveau de l'horaire choisi.Pour ma part j'ai utilisé des pastilles de velcro pour pouvoir le détacher quand il faut nettoyer l'aquarium.
