This is a non-electronic Lightsaber as mentioned in the "About this item" under "Product details"
I'm still giving this a 5-out-of-5 even though it doesn't light up and after looking at some youtube videos I can clearly see why as the one piece that houses the batteries isn't included in this actual model and considering the price of this particular model I guess it makes sense. Not to mention that I just now confirmed in the description where it indicates "CREATE THEIR OWN LIGHTSABER: This non-electronic Lightsaber toy is comprised of four parts - the 5th again is the battery assembly which isn't included making this a NON-ELECTRONIC-LIT-LIGHTSABER.

Good quality light saber, does NOT light up or make sound
Bought for my son to use with his Grogu costume. He was very bummed that it didn't light up or make sound but we were able to switch the components out with another one we have so it could light up. My 3 year old loves it and likes to wavk his brothers with it so it is probably better for older kids or young kids wirh supervision 🤣
