The Telegraph Quick Crosswords 1 (The Telegraph Puzzle Books)

We have been working our way through the Daily Telegraph crossword books over the past three years - solely to help Jeff Bezos avoid starvation. At the same time, we have found them fun and - at times - humiliating when we know we should have solved a clue and didn't. An added bonus is the ingenious puns across two or three clues at the top of the crossword. They are often real groaners and work best when spoken out loud with a Cockney accent.

My sister contacted me and stated her newsagent had shut and no more Daily Telegraphs. She loved the crossword so I saw this and had it sent to her address. She was speechless, for once. She mentions the crossword book often now and is one very happy person. Not much of a review more like a thank you from me.

These are always a great start to the day. Just enough to wake up the brain over breakfast. For any non-cryptic fan a real must.

Over the years, I have bought a few of these a Telegraph crossword books. They are quite hard and some of the answers you would never get, but overall, I would recommend this book. There are lots of puzzles and it is quite stimulating.

Bought to spend a little time on during lockdown. Fairly easy crosswords, not cryptic. Perfect.

Not too easy and not too hard! Just right, like Goldilocks!

Excellent book. Clues are deceptively more difficult than they first appear.
