You are able to hear the lungs and heart clearly!
Excellent stethoscope, my nephew has had some breathing problems and requires respiratory treatments. Me being a nurse. Bought both his mom and grandmother these. They work really well and are able hear his lung fields clearly. Face it the opens the hospitals send you home with are cheap and hard to use.

didn't match the image
i want to give 3 stars for the image not being the same as the product shipped. it showed a pediatric diaphragm on 1 side with the adult on the other side. this was bought for home use, it's the same as the 1 i used as an emt back in the early & mid 80's. i prefer this type because the tubing is a bit thicker so it blocks out ambient noise. other than the missing diaphragm its a good unit.

I got this for my son who was in EMT Firefighting training. I think he still uses it. Seems very well made and durable.

Parts too loose
I bought this about 4 years ago and it wasn't as audible as I'd hoped for, but is definitely better than the $8 ones that are stocked on the ambulances. It's low priced, so I wasn't finicky about the mediocre quality. The lumens (rubber tubes) rub together and can interfere with auscultation, again the price is right.However, I hardly used the thing (it's for my personal go-back) and I went to use it today and the attachment pieces fell off sometime while it was around my neck - I didn't even use it! Nothing broke, but they're supposed to be screwed on tightly. I didn't ever loosen them, and they fell off just by wearing the thing around my neck.For that reason, I don't recommend.

purchased for home use, appeared to be very similar to one used in medical office, works just as good and much cheaper than one bought thru medical supply store. good quality manufacturing so should last for quite some time.
