It's beautiful, well design,ed, and does a great job!
If a toaster can be elegant, this one is. It's sleek and simple and doesn't crowd the counter. I especially like the way the controls look when they're lit up. While the visuals are very simple, the toaster still has all the functions you need: Defrost, bagel, seven settings, and a bar that lets you lift the bread to check whether it's ready. The lift is high enough to let you remove the bread if you want to stop the process, but if you want to continue toasting, just push the bar back down. This product also works well for both toast and bagels. I don't understand reviews that complain that the bread isn't toasted evenly enough, or that both sides don't match. It's just a piece of toast, not a gourmet side dish. This appliance gets most of the slice toasted on both sides. It toasts according the the setting you choose and the final product is crunchy. That's all I need. Finally, I really like Cuisinart products. I've used them before. They usually include a three-year warranty and have done so here. However, their products last forever. I had a Cuisinart food processor that lasted 10 years. I highly recommend this toaster.

Stylish Toaster That Gets the Job Done
I bought this Cuisinart Soho 2-slice toaster in the Truffle color and it looks great on the counter. The design is sleek and minimal, which I appreciate since I try to keep the kitchen looking clean and modern. The cord storage in the back is a nice bonus and helps reduce the clutter. Function wise, it toasts well. There are seven browning settings and they actually make a difference. I use the bagel setting a lot and it gives a nice crisp outside without burning the inside. The defrost and reheat options are handy too, especially for frozen waffles or reheating toast without drying it out. One thing I really like is the lever that lifts the toast up a bit higher, so I don’t have to fish smaller slices out with a fork or knife and risk turning breakfast into a trip to the hospital. The buttons light up when you use them, although it would be nice if only the selected function lit up. It’s a small thing but would make it feel a bit more premium. Only real downside is that it’s a little bigger than I expected for a 2-slice toaster. Not a huge deal, but something to keep in mind if you're tight on counter space. Overall, solid toaster that looks great, works well, and doesn't feel cheap. I’d recommend it if you want something that works well without being an eyesore in your kitchen.

Looks good. Toasts okay.
This toaster looks fantastic on the counter. The outside stays cool enough to touch without burning yourself (within reason - don't touch the metal!). But it toasts unevenly and it doesn't fit larger slices of bread. Stick with this for squarish loaves of white/wheat bread from the supermarket. Given how terrible most toasters are, this is a good one.

Doesn’t toast
Doesn’t toast. I think something is wrong with this toaster. When I use it (not on bagel setting), it only toasts the insides as if I were toasting a bagel. When I press ‘BAGEL’ it doesn’t toast at all. I can physically only ever see the inside walls warming up/turning red. Malfunction? Overall feels cheap

Does not toast evenly. Often very dark on one side and barely cooked on the other.
Does not toast well or evenly. Seems to take a long time to toast. Quality seems a bit cheap.

Great toaster
Great toaster! Heats evenly, looks sleek and works reliably. A bit bigger than expected, but worth it.

It's just OK
It does the job but I have a feeling it won't last long. It doesn't have that sturdy sound of the mechanism when going up/down. The color is odd, definitely more than just matt black, lends more to an oil rubbed bronze. The pinkish push-down button looks like a tongue. Was too lazy to return it, so we'll see how long it lasts. I will probably sew a toaster cover for it anyway.

Quick toasting, nice features.
Great little toaster. Works quickly with a smooth action and the "peek" feature is handy if you're toasting something unfamiliar. The plastic outer shell keeps it from getting too hot to touch. A couple downsides, however. The depressor tab is much more of a salmon or peach than the tan in the pictures. And the time selector knob requires almost no force to turn and can be rotated accidentally very easily.

looks good but feels inexpensive
Nice looking product but is a bit flimsy made of thin plastic.
