This product is up to 120 galons and the down sice is only until 50 galons so this product will work for your tank. Once your water is clear, there is no need to keep your GKM24W turned on 24/7. This will help increase the life of your 24 Watt UV lamp. Hope this help you

Q: how effective is this for dinos ,cyano green hair algae in a 36 gallon reef tank?

I have not had those specific issues but suspect it would be very helpful

It is on the transformer I believe it’s the green light
