This tray made a huge difference in my home office setup. I use two different machines throughout the day (one for work, one personal), and this helps me transition easily without crowding my desk.The installation was pretty straightforward — took about 20 minutes solo with basic tools. I had purchased a standing desk that came with a keyboard tray. The issue is that the tray would slowly slide back under the desk even as you were typing on the keyboard. I tried different things to make it work but eventually took the whole drawer assembly off the desk. The problem is that using the keyboard and mouse on top of the desk greatly limited the area that I write on so I was looking for either a new desk or a keyboard tray.This tray was the solution I thought I would try first because $40 is a lot less than what I would have to pay for an electric desk.I measured carefully because I knew that I had to have clearance for the mechanism that lifted the desk and so I had to be aware of that as I shopped for trays. I did extensive browsing/comparisons before settling on this tray.First of all assembly was very easy. Just make sure you have a screwdriver because they don't include one of course.. It can be done in under five minutes. You're simply screwing in the brackets that hold the two tray pieces together then you're screwing on the rail that prevents the keyboard from slipping off the back and finally you're screwing the two brackets onto the slider rails. Easy PeezyFrom there adding it to the desk was even more easy. I just made sure that the clams were opened wide enough to slide on and adjust.I use a very long desk mat which covers the top of the brackets on the surface of the desk and it looks very nice.The tray is long enough to accommodate both my keyboard and my mouse with extra room. It's also has plenty of depth to the tray whereas the tray that came with the desk just barely fit my keyboard. So this was an improvement as well.With a keyboard tray in the closed position I'm just barely unable to type. Just to give you an idea of the clearance there.The tray opens and closes smoothly but it's a little stiff which to me is just perfect because I'd rather it have that then to slide under the desk as I'm typing. And it's not stiff to the degree that it would be considered a negative aspect, I just want to impress that it stays in place when you have it pulled out from under the desk.I have not yet started using the tray during the course of a workday because I just installed it and I don't have to begin work for a few hours. So if there's anything that isn't wonderful about the tray I'll definitely update my review.But for now I definitely consider this a very satisfactory solution to my keyboard tray issue with my desk. I didn't have to show out the money for another desk with the keyboard tray and other features I require and then go through assembly and all of that, not to mention finding a home for the existing desk.Spent under $50 got a product that was super easy to install and that appears to be exactly perfect for my needs.

This has been great for me to experiment with a fancy split keyboard while having a normal keyboard close enough in reach. It's easily adjustable, sturdy while fixed, and slides well for the most part.Just be aware it will affect your leg/knee clearance so be conscious of the height of your chair/desk.

Does what its supposed to. Sturdy. Could be a little bit bigger + maybe hang a little lower but thats probably splitting hairs at that point. Not the cleanest look for a desk but a solid product nonetheless.
