I am a Dave Ramsey FAN!!! He has helped me budget and focus more on "baby step" goals - it has eliminated so much stress in my life you cannot believe it. I have removed so much debt from my life, prioritized expenses, made life changes... HIGHLY recommend!!!It did come with his envelope system - I do NOT like that, did not work for me as the paper envelopes ripped, I went to a mesh/fabric envelope system and it works better for me.FYI - I bought this used - Even this messes with Dave's income from sales of his books, I am sure he would approve.

I would recommend this product to anyone who is looking to get out of debt or wanting to organize their financial life by creating a budget and setting goals.It was easy to listen to Dave Ramsey, he's funny and thoughtful. Everything made sense to us and we did the program independently, there were local groups having classes but we couldn't commit due to our evening schedules...

I’m extremely happy with my purchase. I couldn’t get myself to spend $130 on the newest FPU, so this was a great alternative. I read Total Money makeover a couple months ago and have been listening to the Dave Ramsey Radio show since, so I’ve really been looking forward to this course. The CDs were in perfect condition, I follow along with the workbook while listening and go thru the steps as if I were actually present for the course. I also use the EveryDollar app which isn’t associated with the course specifically but still it’s a great tool to use as a companion.Minor cons: There wasn’t envelopes in my box, there’s writing on almost every page of the workbook. But it’s used, so that’s not a big deal. The course was made in 2012 but still has great informational content.

If you aren't crazy about using your phone and an app for everything, then this is for you. New memberships use apps and do everything online. I'm glad to do things on paper still so it works for me. If you sign up for a Financial Peace University class, this kit will not be accepted.

As a current college student, I recommend this for ANYONE needing help getting a jump on financial responsibility. I love the confidence this program gives you to take control and fix any current financial problems you have, or fix and avoid any future financial issues! Straight forward, in your face and easy to follow. I also recommend taking this in a class setting, where you can hear real-life success stories and share your journey with others!

In process of documenting TwinOak 2000 fraud. A 2008 kit was sold as "Brand New" with no date revealed. Attempted to rectify by having a PIN sent to me that was supposed to be in the kit. A person calling himself "Iain" (no last name or contact information) asked what was a PIN. Informed him that a PIN was a personal identification number. He then informed me for the first time that the kit was 8 years old, not brand new and the PIN was supposed to be given at the first FPU session. I check with FPU and was informed that was incorrect. I emailed "Iain"to make that clear on the site. He stated it was. I print screen both the site and and the confirmation of order documenting the fact that 2008 was not disclosure and asked he show me where 2008 was anywhere. He sent back a totally bogus customer satisfaction response with 2008 mentioned. Disputed charge with credit card company. Informed FPU of TwinOak 2000's fraudulent pattern and practices that hurts FPU reputation. I received a call from an "Unknown" number. Caller did not identify himself but launched into a series of questions. When I asked who was calling, the caller said "Iain". I asked if he had read my emails. He then commenced to show his ignorance and greed by shouting insults. I hung up.

I had been looking for something like this for a long time. I had read book, after book, but none of them give you the step by step guidance that Dave R. gives you. I was proud to know I was doing some of the steps, and was happy to learn the rest. I wished I had gotten this as a wedding gift 15 years ago or had learned it in H.S. before I went out to the real world.
