Used for snowblower chute control
First one came with a broken switch. Replacement unit works as advertised.

Well made actuator for a good price
Most people aren't going to rip a new item apart to see if its made well but sometimes in order to do an honest review its requiredDiassembly revealed surprisingly good quality for the price. The PWB limit board is gold plated so it should be pretty resistant to wear and corrosionThe bearing on the lead screw is a deep groove which for a 60N load is entirely sufficient (you aren't getting opposing angular contact bearings anywhere near this price)The delrin/nylon lead nut fits snug on the leadscrew with very little backlash - it is only a couple of threads long so expect some increase due to wear if the unit is operating near its max load but that is to be expected as this is not a precision positioner.Piston arm fits well into the main housing with very little wobble or slopThe only thing I did is place a drop or two of machine oil on the gearbox before reassembly.Force - I didn't grab a scale to measure it so just went by feel. Took more than the rated 13 lbs to stall the motor at around 0.5 ampsSound - slight gear whirring under no load increasing as load increases. Not loud and no clicks, pops or grinding even under load.Definite buy if you need a light duty short stoke actuator

Well made - great for robotics projects
This actuator is exactly as described - it is small, well made, and it seems to have a fairly strong stroke. The switch that comes with it is a nice touch and also seems to be well made. I plan to use this in a small robotics project, and I expect it to be perfect for my needs.

Great little actuator! The switch is waaay too big for the actuator though.
This is not the best pairing of items. The actuator is very small, with 20+ gauge wire and a JST style connector on it. The switch dwarfs the actuator in size. It has thick 16 gauge wire, and no connector that will connect to the actuator. It is clear that these were paired as an afterthought, or because they happened to both be a good price deal. I wouldn't ever use them together though. I consider these 2 different products in one box. I think selling just the actuator, for $20, would be a wiser choice than pairing these together and selling it for $30. Enjoy.

Tiny but mighty actuator
The media could not be loaded. The speed rating of 15mm/s did not sink in until I hooked it up. I thought it was an electromagnet with almost instantaneous actuation, but it is actually a geared motor inside that makes the plunger move. It takes about 3 seconds for the actuator to travel from one end to the other. The actuation force is impressive, and seems in line with the 13.4 lb rating. This would be great for moving a vent or small door open/shut, or other application that does not require very fast actuation. Compact, takes very little power yet exerts plenty of force.
