HWQ990D 11.1.4ch Wireless Sound Bar with Dolby Atmos & Amazon Alexa

A great quality soundbar. The sound is fantastic with excellent surround and Dolby effects while at the same time really clear vocals. It's also quick and easy to set up. Would definitely recommend this.

I have been facing connectivity issues with Samsung TV. Does not connect thru' Wifi, just tries and says cannot connect. Managed to connect thru' HDMI ARC, worked for couple of months and then stopped working. Had to switch to HDMI only and use it as a receiver, it is working for now, but having issues on and off. Factory reset, change of HDMI cables did not work. Sound quality is good, but with connectivity issues it is use less unfortunately.

Brilliant surround sound system. Very simple to set up and operate. The sound is amazing. So pleased that I purchased this item.

Just buy this one, simple as. I've been searching for years to find a solution to that dreadful problem of whisper quiet speech and ridiculously noisy sound effects and music. I have bought and returned two 5.1 products, JBL 800 and Majority Everest, as well as trying other solutions such as single soundbars that supposedly cure the problem with 'night modes'. Yes the Q990D is expensive but it's worth it. Don't bother with any other surround system than this one. You'll easily find the settings that work best for you when you pair this system with the excellent Samsung SmartThings app, which lets you configure EVERYTHING, but as a heads up, here are my settings and I PROMISE you'll enjoy stunning film sound without the ludicrous ear shattering explosions, gunshots and music AND you'll clearly hear what the characters are saying... Surround mode , Spacefit Sound Pro on, Active Voice Amplifier on, Voice enhancement on, Rear channel levels to max. The above settings will make sense when you see them in the app. All settings remain even if the unit is switched off. IMPORTANT! I found out the hard way that the worst thing you can do with a top end system like this is put the subwoofer out of the way in a corner! I had mine behind the television in the corner for so long, wondering why it sounded too loud and muddy until I did a bit of research. Experiment having it around the room until it sounds perfect for you but if it's stupidly loud even if you've turned down the bass and the subwoofer volume on the app, then you've got it too close to the wall or other objects, but keep it away from corners, trust me! I can't praise this product enough. It's fantastic and quite simply the best surround sound system there is.

Fabulous sound and easy to set up but soundbar failed within just 2 weeks !! Called Samsung who couldn't fix it over phone and said they would arrange engineer visit. Engineer called to say they needed to replace a part which they had to order. Then informed me this would take a week ! Absolutely disgusting service.

Would have given 5* until 5 days ago when a Samsung OTA firmware update bricked my unit. No solution other than return to Samsung for a new PCB. Google the issue, it's a worldwide problem. Switch off automatic update in Smart Things app!!

I bought one of these 5 months ago and it is already in for repair under warranty. Fault is it is stuck on earc on screen totally unresponsive. Engineer has took it away and told me it needs a new main circuit board. He told me he has 3 more with the same problem at this time. I'm horrified that this should happen to a top of the range soundbar by such a big name as samsung. My advice would be don't buy this one. If this happens again I will look to replace it with another brand as will no longer have faith in samsung.
