Is the heating element only in the bottom or along the sides as well? I ran this thing most of the day and didn't even get 1/3 of my wax melted.

I've assumed the element is in the base, as I can't see there being room for an element in the sides, but I have no actual facts. I'm wondering if your unit has a faulty element, though, because mine melts 10lb of soy wax within 20 minutes from room temperature. It might be a warranty issue you can address with the seller, because hours of heating don't sound right to me.
