Rock solid versatile mount for Nintendo Switch 2
If you’re looking for a mount for a Nintendo Switch 2 for gameplay during flights, look no further. I usually don’t write reviews, but I love this thing so much that I felt compelled to. I bought this mount to hold my Switch 2 on a bunch of flights and it was fantastic regardless of which airline or seat setup I had. The build quality is really great, everything feels like very solid and sturdy metal. Even during moderate turbulence, the mount was rock solid and I had no worries about my Switch 2 coming loose. It’s very secure and I never worried about it damaging my switch 2. I really like how you can tighten the thumb screws to whatever pressure you want, as opposed to other solutions that have fixed tension. The design makes this mount very versatile. I don’t think I had seen it mentioned in the Amazon listing, but you can actually flip the two parts to accommodate different set ups. For some of my flights, I mounted my Switch 2 to the seat tray while it was folded up, other times I did the same while the tray was down, hopefully the photos in my review demonstrate what I mean. Having my Switch 2 at eye level for multiple 8-14 hour flights was much more comfortable than looking downward the whole time. I was even able to tilt the display so that my friend sitting next to me and I could play co-op games. The only drawback I can think of is that it might be slightly heavier than plastic mounts, but the quality is well worth it. It isn’t quite as compact as other solutions, but it breaks down into two parts; again, the quality of the mount more than makes up for this, I just kept it in the original cardboard box in my carry on bag. This would work really well for numerous devices like phones and medium size tablets. It also works really well with different tables and desks for a variety of mounting options. Super pleased with this purchase. If you’re looking for a switch 2 mount for flying, this one is a no-brainer in my opinion.

Strong, Solid, Stable in Planes, Cars, Tables: 13" Surface (no case) and Pro Max Otterbox Defender
Time of Ownership: 2 Weeks Usage So Far: 40+ hours (22 in 737 airplanes, 10 on tables, 8 in Lyfts) Devices used with: Surface Pro 13" without case, iPhone Pro Max with Otterbox Defender Stability: Flawless Durability: Yet to be determined, but so far, so good Portability: totally acceptable given what we're asking it to do (does not fold flat, but fits in backpack) Regrets: NONE! Concerns: will it hold up? I think so... it seems really, really well engineered and constructed Alternatives: there are a lot to pick from - Klearlook, ChargeWorx, the foldy/bendy things, Perilogics, MiiKARE, woleyi Gooseneck, and Lamicall - but the things that made this KDD Travel Tablet Holder superior to me were: 1) joints look HEAVY DUTY in that they are like gears and each join has its own lockdown tightener. 2) This expands large enough to hold 13" surface without case, no questions asked 3) Stability - no bobble or wobble unless the whole car or airplane shakes. It is as close as you can get to mounting the device directly to the seat in front of you. 4) not TOO much extension from the seat in front of you - if the passenger in front of you leans ALL the way back, and you're still upright, it gets much closer to your face, but not in your face. No need to adjust. I admit the 13" tablet was a little closer than I'd normally have when this happened, but still, not too close to bother me at all. More of a surprise when they leaned all the way back from upright. The only 2 reasons why I can think anyone should avoid this are: 1. If you don't have the finger strength/dexterity to turn/crank down the joints tightly. A normal, healthy teen or adult should have no issues, but someone with extreme age or weakness should get this and something that has a simple spring or clamp and then decide once they get hands on experience. 2. If you need a holder that folds flat. Otherwise, if you're like me, and wanted something heavy duty that works in planes, trains, automobiles, and tables, this seems to be the one.

Chunky, but really good at holding my devices
This thing is a game changer on long flights. I've been regularly flying cross country (4-6hrs one way) this year and I got tired of trying to both fold myself into a tiny airplane seat without elbowing my neighbor and hold my tablet/e-reader/phone in a semi comfortable position. A lot of the planes have seatback entertainment these days, but it's not guaranteed and I like having my own stuff to watch or work on during the flight. Enter this little guy, or rather, this chunky guy. To be clear, the one star removed is solely for how big and unweildy this thing is in my bag. With just a few small tweaks it would fold down much smaller and be much more practical to carry around. Otherwise it's perfect. It securely holds my phone (iPhone 14pro in a case), Kindle, and iPad Pro; adjusts to a variety of viewing angles and positions (portrait vs landscape); and even held my iPad in place as I wrote on it. It's easy to set up once you get it out and understand which knobs tighten/loosen which joints. I appreciate that I didn't have to buy or set up two different holders for my different devices. Will this be on every flight I ever make? Maybe. I can see how on short hop flights (1-2 hrs) it could be more of a hassle than it's worth. Will it be on any flight approaching +3hrs? Absolutely.

ALMOST perfect for the Legion Go - but not quite
Overall, this is a great mount. It will hold the Legion Go without any concern on a desk, but I wouldn’t use it as is on a plane or train. My concern is the pressure points due to the Go being just a tad thicker than the braces allow for. But the rubber padding is simply glued in, so one could (and I likely will) print an adapter in TPU to hold the LeGo better. Overall, it’s a great design, and it has an impressive stability and width when extended. Edit: A little bit of 3D-Printing and I got it to hold the LeGo very securely. I will note that the base only has scallops on 1 side of the angle-plate, so it should not be reversed as some of my photos show. If the mfg put scallops on both sides of that joint, it would be a stronger hold of the angle, but allow for reversing it too (which leads to a slimmer packing when folded)

Great design, not ok for Switch 2 + Genki Attack Vector
The support seems very sturdy and nice. I only got it for my switch 2 and for it, I have a very slim case, Genki Attack Vector case and it cannot properly hold it, only the Switch 2 bare fits. I am returning for that reason.

Solid metal tablet mount for thinner tablets, phones. ok with either tripod or magnetic ball mount
First of all initial impressions are pretty good and I really like the all metal construction..with the exception of the plastic knobs. With my otterbox case on my 8.4 pro samsung tablet..it barely fit. Also with the hard outer case on my phone it dod not fit at all. However with the outc case removed but with the silicone case still on for protection, it fits very well. Also there are multiple mounting options with the 1/4 20 screw holes, but I find the mount as shown on my picture to be ideal. Also it fits on my existing tripod perfectly. Score? Probably like a 9 for the all metal construction, and a 6.5 for fit, as it did not do so well for thicker cases. But for the price I paid..less than 20 dollars..I think is a great deal. Edit 2021-07-09: Ok, I liked the first one so much, that I had to get a second one for my tripod. So mainly, I use one of the metal brackets combined with a wide magnetic base. So with the combined two ball heads, it raises the height of the tablet to a perfect height and tilt angle. So the second one for the Manfrotto tripod, haha my wife will use it to record her piano practice with the cell phone. So after using a few weeks, I upped the rating to 5 stars..if one uses it within it's limitations.
