The industrial magnetic pick up tool is awesome. The extension is very study and extends so I don’t have to bend to pick up metal from the ground. The magnet is very strong and will easily pick up metal parts. Don't buy the other cheap brands available, the extension pulls apart after a very uses. This brand uses deep groves in the extension to stop the extension from pulling apart.

Strong enough magnet to overcome my dryer door latch with stiff enough telescope to not extend in the process, but collapses halfway when closing the same door, pushing against the same latch. Standard 20 year old stacked washer dryer unit. This is the best reference I can think of making. Large physical size, but not too large to fit in a mens pocket.

Nice wider head which may or may not be a plus for you. the telescoping sections are thicker and hopefully will last longer. Doesn't bend when picking up a dropped tools. I don't think this is the pick up tool for dropping a bolt in a crowded engine compartment. The magnet is strong and the device seems well made. Only time will tell. The 35lb load limit is a fairy tale.

a tool like this really needs a swiveling head; otherwise it's very hard to use on any angle except 90 because things just slide off the magnet.

Really strong magnet. A real lifesaver when you drop a tool, nut, screw, etc. under something. Works well for pulling stuff off of a shelf as well, or cleaning up metal shavings from the garage floor.
