Great Value
I don't know how to write this review without sounding like it's a paid advertisement. I have no affiliation with Flukers. I honestly don't know the first thing about them, other than they also make cricket food that I've purchased in my local pet store. Now on with the review! Before trying Flukers, I ordered medium-banded crickets from several other companies based on price and delivery speed. I've been pretty disappointed with those orders. I've gotten wild variations on cricket sizes and I usually get what looks like half the amount I ordered. I've placed my last few orders with Flukers, and they have been the most consistent. They get to me relatively fast, about three business days (I'm in Atlanta), and they're packed well and mostly alive. I have no idea if there are 500 in the small box, and I could never count them. But, I'm happy with the amount. The big difference seems to be the way they're packed. They use egg crate material that's neatly layered in the box to keep the little guys and gals from getting tossed around like beads in a maraca. And, the price is great. If I got the same amount of crickets from my local pet store it would cost 10 times what I pay. Overall it's a great value and I plan to keep ordering from Flukers. I've received nothing in return for this honest review. So there.

these crickets are consistently perfect for our iguana
Taking care of a friend iguana required feeding crickets to the pet with tweezers which was a little unnerving at first but then just realized hey gotta do it! We ordered the crickets since they ran out when they were on vacation and empty them into a big cricket house container and the iguana loved every moment! FLUKER‘S is always top quality and consistent.

Best cricket purchase
I have purchased from several different companies and this is the best. Hands down. A week later and they are still alive and active.

Worth it 👏
I can definitely see how live crickets by mail could be hit or miss based on weather and shipping time but the 2 times I’ve had them arrive dead I sent the seller a message and they had new ones shipped out within 2 days! They are also a great size with a few varieties in size which is great if your like me and have multiple critters needing different size dinners They look healthy are a great value and were pretty easy to get out of the box into a tank! And they end up living way longer than chain store crickets! I will say I am not a fan of the metal tubes they have been shipping them in The boxes were nice and insulated and with temps having just dropped where I am when they come in the tubes like they have the last couple times the tube gets cold very fast Not sure why the switch but I miss the boxes I’m glad company will replace them but is is a little annoying when you’ve got a very grumpy frog who refuses anything but crickets and now you have to wait for a new batch I’ve also gotten a few tag along in mine but nothing harmful! Just Dermestidae beetles and larvae which are harmless to living flesh and actually great for keeping your cricket container clean! They eat the dead ones happily! I kinda wish I’d gotten a few stowaways sooner I kinda like them :)

Dead on arrival
I’d say about 1/2 were dead on arrival. I could smell the dead crickets from my driveway after work before I even saw the box on my front porch. This is the 3rd order of 500 crickets in a row where about 1/2 were dead before I even opened the box. Not to mention the other bugs in the box with them. Little caterpillar-looking things, beetles, and what I assume were fungus gnats. Not only are the crickets dead, no matter what I do to the live ones, they don’t last and most will die off before I can use them. I gut load them as soon as I get them, but it doesn’t seem to matter. I’ll be finding another supplier for my crickets. I’ve wasted too much $ with Fluckers which sucks because they used to be the best quality around.

It’s fine.
The shipping is fast, arriving within two days. The crickets arrived alive, with only about 10% dead. Everything else is in good condition. Not too bad overall.

Some dead still good price
There were a lot of dead crickets and it smelled bad, it took a while to separate all the dead from the living. There were still a lot of live crickets, enough for what I needed, so I wasn't horribly bothered. Good value for that amount of crickets, even if a lot of them died. It's just hard to ship crickets because of how delicate they are, I expected what I received. They will always be a better deal than most in store places, and of the same if not better quality.
