Dyson all in one fan
An excellent piece of machinery, does everything you expect it to from being a heater and cool air blower to an air purifier giving you readings of air purity and warning if the air is unsafe to breathe . It is nice and quiet, you don’t notice it when in operation. There is a timer so you can have on for any time period you want. It might seem expensive but you will never have to buy one of these again and you are paying for the name as well . It is top of the range technology. Let’s face it if you bought everything separately it would probably cost you the same amount of money so why not have it all in one.

Good for home
Works great!

Limited value
Honestly it’s not worth the amount it costs. In terms of filtering the air, that works fine but when trying to heat or cool it’s not as effective as other products.

A best of class product
I've been using the Dyson Hot & Cool Gen 1 now for about 2 weeks. In that time, in mid spring, I have needed to use it both as a heater and a fan, and moved it around the house to try it out in various scenarios. The Dyson is a premium option, which is obvious from the moment you unpack it from its very well designed box. This fan is heavy and substantial. With a lot of weight in its base, there is little risk of it getting tipped over. While it has a power button on the unit, the fan is controlled by its small remote. Easy to use, the buttons for control are well labelled. There are hot and cool modes, with the hot mode being thermostat controlled to reach the temperature you set.On its first nights, I found the bladeless fan excellent at pushing the hot air around my large kitchen dining space, warming up the whole room quickly. In this area, the on screen display quickly noted that the air quality was sub optimal (after cooking), showing up as a yellow line. Over time, and within an hour of running the heater, this entered the green zone, indicating an improvement.Later on as the weather turned hot, I moved the fan to our bedroom, where I made use of the low speed 'night time' options, and the sleep timer. I would set the fan to its default which would turn off after an hour. I found that in this mode the fan was very quiet, much more so than other fans I had used previously. In unboxing, I noted a QR code sticker on the fan, which leads to the downloading of the Dyson app. It was not clear at this point if the fan has smart functionality, but it turns out that it does not, and the app is only provided for product registration and for user guides. The app is good, but I went a week without needing it, and it is unlikely to stay installed on my phone. Sadly, the only way to see air quality, is in real-time, tracking the graph on the fans screen. In conclusion, this is an excellent fan, also capable of heating and air purification. Its air monitor demonstrates its effectiveness and its very easy to use. Design and quality is first class, above any other fan I have used. Its a five star product.

⭐ 2 out of 5 stars – Excellent purifier, but very poor heater/fan for the priceI bought the Dyson Purifier Hot+Cool Gen 1 with high expectations, but unfortunately I ended up returning it. While it has some real strengths, the overall package simply didn’t justify the premium price tag.Purification – 5/5This is where Dyson really delivers. As a purifier, it’s outstanding. The air in the room felt noticeably fresher, and it did a great job of removing dust and allergens. If you’re buying this purely for the purification element, you won’t be disappointed. On that front, it deserves top marks.Heating and Fan – 2/5This is where things fell apart for me. The heating function was noisy and disruptive, especially at night. Instead of providing a steady, consistent warmth, the unit constantly cycled on and off to regulate the temperature. Each time it kicked in, the fan spun up louder than the low settings, which was enough to wake me from sleep. For something marketed as suitable for bedrooms, this was a major flaw. The fan itself was also underwhelming. While it can move air around the room, it never felt particularly powerful or efficient compared to cheaper standalone fans.Noise Levels – 1/5The biggest issue was noise. Even on lower settings, the sound was intrusive in a quiet bedroom. When heating, the sudden bursts of fan noise were jarring. In contrast, my inexpensive oil-filled radiator provides completely silent, steady warmth all night long. I also use a small Meaco purifier in the same room, which is far quieter than the Dyson, despite being a fraction of the cost.Value for Money – 1/5At over £500, this product is simply not good value. For a tenth of the price, I can run an oil-filled radiator and a separate purifier, and together they outperform the Dyson in comfort and noise levels. The Dyson looks sleek and modern, but design alone doesn’t justify the cost when the core functions don’t deliver.Other ConsiderationsIt's generally a good size, looks swish and isn't too heavy to move.I genuinely wanted to support Dyson as a British company, but with the move to Singapore and the disappointing performance of this product, it’s hard to justify. If the price were halved, I might have considered keeping it for its excellent purification, but at the current cost it just doesn’t make sense.Final Verdict- Purifier: Excellent- Heater/Fan: Noisy, inconsistent, and disruptive- Value: PoorIf you want a top-notch purifier and don’t mind paying a premium, this might work for you. But if you’re looking for a reliable all-in-one purifier, heater, and fan, I’d strongly suggest looking elsewhere.

Read before you buy!
It broke down within 15 days after only 3 uses. I took the product to the Dyson Dubai Mall store. Normally, if a product is not repaired within 7 business days, it should be replaced or a refund should be issued. This is how UAE consumer laws work. I explained this to Dyson customer service, but they said that UAE laws do not apply to them. This was an unbelievable attitude. After 18 days, the product came back from the service. The remote control was broken by the service. It was not replaced. It would be impossible for them to act like this in the US or Europe, where very serious penalties would be imposed. Unfortunately, in the UAE, Dyson ignores consumer rights. Think 50 times before buying Dyson.
