MANUSCRIPT Left Handed Nib Scribe Calligraphy Pen and Nib Set, Silver, 7 Piece Set

I haven't tried calligraphy in many years. Like many lefties I originally learned using a pen and nib meant for right handed people and struggled to adapt. This pen changes everything. I was able to immediately create letters naturally with no struggles. The set comes with different nibs and two ink cartridges. The pen and nibs are good quality and have their own small metal storage case.

It worked just like I wanted it to. Still smears a little though.

My granddaughter, age nine, was delighted with the ease of using the left-hand pen in practicing calligraphy. Pen just arrived today so can't evaluate durability, but out of the box it was great.

I was very disappointed in the Pen and nib set. The biggest problem is that I was only able to use it once: the pen leaked so that the ink bled out of the pen after the first use. Changing nibs also drained the ink, so a single experimentation yielded no ink for a second try. Why would I now buy more cartridges? 1. The nibs are large: 1.5 mm , 2.3, 2.7. My fountain pens are 0.5 mm. So you are not doing stationary, etc with these - maybe signs, envelopes, announcements.... Might be easier to learn with a smaller nib, .5 or so. 2. I practiced for an hour or so and used up 1/4 of the ink. I changed nibs once so lost a lot since I tried to wash out the used one...bad idea, just leave it nib up in the pen holder and let it drain. (The biggest mistake was putting the pen back in the box: that is how all of the ink drained from the remaining cartridge). 3. I could not find any instructions on how to use these fixed nibs: Youtube only had flexible nib videos where you exert more/less pressure to get a thicker /thinner line, vs turning your hand to change the angle of the beveled nib on the paper for correct line thickness. And most videos were for righty not us left-handers. (I am a "below-the line" lefty.) The pen is not worth the effort to try it.

I had my doubts about this since I have never used anything for left hand users.But this pen is FANTASTIC! I love how smooth it writes and does NOT SKIP!If you are having issues with practicing CALLIGRAPHY buy this instrument.You will not be disappointed!

I bought this for my granddaughter to learn calligraphy. One feel of this pen and she was taking off for success! I highly recommend this, need to locate cartridge refills. You won't go wrong if you are a lefty (I am right handed and it felt great to me)!

Gave this to my 17 year old grandaughter for Christmas and she loved it. Fast delivery in time for me to ship to her.

I bought this pen in June in anticipation of addressing my son's wedding invitations. Last week the invitations came in and I opened this pen eager to get started and no matter how I held it, what angle I held it, I could not get any ink to flow. It was useless. Because I just opened it last week when I went to return it, the window was closed and no matter how much I tried, I could get nowhere. SO I am stuck with a useless pen that cannot be used. I believe sellers need to hear people and their stories rather than click boxes. I am very very upset. I ordered a speedball calligraphy pen and it works like a dream!

The set is excellent to use. One of the few Left-Handed sets. The holder or pen itself is not bulky but very light and easy to use for a while. Only suggestion would be to have a set with more pens to remove the issue of changing nibs constantly.

Works for a lefty. Since lefties tend to push rather than drag the pen normal nibs do not work.
