Sturdier than standing scooters
Loving the Z5 so far. Biggest differences between this and my entry-level standing scooter:* Heavier: 49lb vs ~28lb. It's too heavy to carry with one hand, and unlike scooters that fold down across their length, there's no central grab handle even if you were strong enough. I use two hands: grabbing the handle stem with one hand, and with the other I grab the curved frame connected to the seat stem. This lets me still haul it up stairs, with some difficulty.* Much sturdier against bumps. The heavier weight helps here, but it's mostly due to actual suspension, larger tires, and super cushy seat.* Stronger engine, helping on hills. But still capped to 15.5mph, which is the legal limit in my state.* No kick to start, just twist the throttle.* Solid kickstand with rubber stopper, vs raw metal.* Grip tape is more like rough skateboard tape instead of rubber.* Handlebar differences: dual brakes vs single, twist throttle vs thumb, side display to leave the center clear for the included cell mount.* Key start helps with theft deterrence as it can't be ridden off at speed. (Still not foolproof - they can walk it away or replace the ignition. Use common sense, put a bike lock on the wheel, etc.)* Front light angle is adjustable.* Optional basket in the back! Super cute, very useful for groceries. I can still hang bags off the handles or center stem hook, but now I can put the heavy stuff in the basket so the weight is centered.* Doesn't fold down as compact as standing scooters. The handle stem folds in half, but the seat still juts out a little tall. It might be a tight fit for some car trunks, but I have the option to remove the seat stem to reduce the height further.Overall I'm very happy with this. Our roads are not super smooth so I appreciate the extra support, and of course being able to sit down!

Fun, fun, fun!
Solidly built, quiet, zippy little scoot! It came soundly boxed and everything was good. I did double check all the bolts and nuts and tires. All tight.I've owned fuel scooters and stand up scooters and electric bikes and this is a nice blend. As a short petite person it fits me like a glove.I plan to ride this on the back roads in my area for some fresh air and photo adventures. A great hop to the local grocery. A lazy cruise in quiet neighborhoods.I plan to transport when needed in the backseat of my Nissan Sentra.Gotrax sells a basket for the floorboard with flip out foot pegs and I may add that to use to bring along my little dog.I just love this scooter and would highly recommend it!

Friendly to elderly and new users
I am an electric scooter enthusiast. I have owned both stand-up and seat-type electric scooters, so I know their advantages and disadvantages. Compared with stand-up scooters, seat-type scooters have a lower center of gravity so they are more stable to ride, but the disadvantage is that they are not as light as stand-up scooters. But this electric scooter is not very heavy and combines the two advantages very well. This model is also equipped with a hook, a mobile phone holder, and a rear storage basket, which is very suitable for shopping and carrying items. The inflatable tire + chair cushioning makes the ride less bumpy. It is suitable for novices, commuters, the elderly or users with poor physical strength. For safety reasons, it is easy to slip when it rains or snows, so drive carefully and wear a helmet.

A Disappointing Investment for the Price
-- Update 10/08/2024 --After spending a decent amount of money on what I thought would be a reliable commuter scooter, the first few rides were promising. The assembly was quick, and the scooter seemed powerful enough, but then came the real issue—the battery life.Despite the claims of an 18.6-mile range, I found myself running low on battery far sooner than expected. After just a few short trips, the battery started to drain much quicker than it should, leaving me stranded more than once. I expected a higher-end product like this to at least offer a dependable battery life, but it seems that’s not the case. What’s worse is that even after fully charging it, the range never improved. For such a hefty price, I also expected more durability. The scooter feels solid at first, but after just a few uses, I can tell it’s not built to last. The seat is comfortable, and the tires handle bumps well, but what’s the point if the scooter can't make it through a full day’s ride?In the end, the Hoverfly Z5 looks good on paper, but if the battery won’t hold up, it’s simply not worth the investment.______________________________________After spending just 20 minutes assembling this electric scooter, I was already out the door, cruising around with ease. The process was straightforward, and the instructions were clear, so getting it set up was a breeze.Once I hit the road, I immediately felt the power of the 400W motor. The acceleration was surprisingly strong, and the 15.5mph top speed was more than enough for my daily commute. The 14-inch pneumatic tires made for an incredibly smooth ride, handling bumps and rough patches without a hitch. The height-adjustable seat is a great feature—it allowed me to find the perfect, comfortable riding position for longer journeys. One of the standout aspects for me was the convenience of the built-in phone holder and the carry basket. Whether I was following navigation on my phone or picking up a few groceries, everything had a place, making the ride that much more practical. And when I was done, folding the scooter up was simple, making it easy to store and carry.Overall, the scooter combines power, comfort, and practicality in a way that truly elevates my commuting experience. It’s more than just a scooter—it’s a reliable, smooth ride that makes every trip enjoyable

An excellent partner for first year students
Definitely, I have to say, it is beyond my expectations. Front light and behind light work well. Easy to assemble and smoothly driving. Additionally, there is a phone holder and basket included. So amazing, it will be an excellent partner of me to go school. I highly recommend this product. Yep!
