Lightweight and flimsy
I bought this in June; straight out of the box, I remarked on how flimsy and lightweight it was. Having bought one of these when we lived in France, I was used to a heavy duty quality one, so this was a shock. The tubes seemed to shudder when lit up as if they were about to give up. Sure enough, one tube no longer works and I am in the process of trying to get a refund. Not recommended and not worth the money

Husbands new evil toy.
Husband seems to like it. It works as intended. For me I prefer the sticky hanging strips. Also the good thing is it kills bugs silently I've only heard it buzz once so must have been a big mozzy god rest his soul :(

Power lead very short
As with all the bug zappers I have tried the biggest issue is the shortness of the power cable. This one is no exception. A flat rectangular design that comes with a hanging chain means you can place it on a wall. While this is more convenient than the ones that are cylindrical in shape the fact remains you still need to add an extension lead to power it. It is about time manufacturers took heed of where products are likely to be used and added enough power cable to fit the average house.Other than that the unit seems very good. Two light bars provide amply attraction, yet do not buzz in an annoying way. The outer casing and grills are sufficient to prevent accidents and the removable tray allows for bug corpse removal. Great for those who fear zombie reanimation and dream of mutated spiders or moths coming to get them. How effective it is I cannot say yet as nothing has ventured near.

Flimsy construction could be hazardous to health.
Review of YISSVIC Bug Zapper 20W Fly Zapper Electric Mosquito Killer. This a small rectangular appliance with a 240v UK plug attached, this 240volt not apparent until the user instructions are read as the advertising only states 220volt.Once unboxed the appliance is quite lightweight, the rectangular shape 435mm long by 255mm high and 70mm in depth houses two UV 400mm black-light tubes with an electrically live metal plate between two outer flimsy wire mesh guards. A bag of clips are supplied to hang the appliance at height or it can be just placed on top of a suitable solid platform.I must admit to being surprised at seeing a CE/UK CA certification on the appliance as the two outer flimsy mesh grids that protect humans from touching the live metal plate enclosed within are not retained sufficiently within the rectangular frame. These mesh grids have just been cut and the metal spokes merely pushed up into a 2mm deep ledge in the top of the frame, the bottom two corners then just loosely push into flat recesses on the lower frame corners, in fact one of the mesh grids actually fell out whilst the appliance was being moved because the mesh grids are so loose, they are also very flexible, the centre of the rear mesh can touch the live 3,200 volt metal plate with very little pressure applied, hardly good enough I would have thought to be compliant with UK electrical safety regulations. In use the appliance does work although I find the solid live metal plate as a fly zapper not as good as a fine wire mesh, the flying insect rather wary of this solid object, replacement UV tubes are available unlike their shorter smaller counterparts, an on/off switch is located on the top side of the appliance although personally I have been switching the mains 3 pin plug off first as I have little faith in the two outer metal mesh guards stopping my fingers from being zapped.Whilst this small appliance does work in my opinion it is not robust enough in construction to be electrically safe for public use.
