so far, a good reliable service
The setup was straightforward, and activating the SIM didnโt take long. Itโs a good option if you want a flexible prepaid plan at a low cost. Coverage has been reliable for calls and data in my area, and the BYO phone setup makes it convenient.

Cheap. Great Data. Reception Sketchy However.
TMO network, which isn't great in my area of rural appalachia. Cheap however. Moving from cricket as they kept jacking up rates and running out of data. Tello gives me 50GB of data a month compared to only 3gb from cricket and costs way less cricket was 35/month plus a 5 hey you didn't renew on-time fee so basically $40 a month where Tello is only $25/month after the promo ends. I DO NOT like that I don't receive texts when I come back off airplane mode or out of signal, like they aren't stored or resent, if you don't have your phone on and have a signal you aren't getting the text, even later. So, it's cheap and I have tons of data however the tmo signal sucks here and I'm always missing texts from my wife however I do have an excuse now. I guess check their service map before buying. Setup was quick and I ported my number, took maybe 15 minutes from loading the sim to having my number ported to it and making calls. If you're in a city go for it, I have no regrets even with their not great reception in my holler. Once you get to town 5g everywhere.

Perfect for students
I had been looking for a low cost sim card with text messages and phone call only for my teenage. This one is perfect. It only costs $8/month. Easy install and works well.

Great prices and easy set up
Tello is great. It uses t-mobile towers. Set up was very simple and easy. Plans offer great deals.

Don't waste your money.
I picked up this sim with the intenion of getting the "unlimited" plan (That turns out to be 50gb.., then you're shunted to 600k/s) to use for basic internet access, and to keep a handful of devices time and data synced with some services on the internet. Very low usage, basic stuff - no streaming, no music nothing like that. I got the sim on Wednesday, tested it all, and great speeds, 200 down, 40 up. amazing. Went on-site Friday, tested speeds, 50down 10up (I was pretty far from a tower, and I expected this). Used it all day, did some low bitrate music streaming because my Verizon phone had no coverage, works good. Saturday rolls around and I get 1k/s. Can't open webpages, can't ping/traceroute anywhere. Time is not synchronizing - but the signal is the same. Reboot the device, I get 3-4mb for a fracion of a second then it dies. Pings work the same way. I get home today, do some digging - turns out Tello is pretty much on the bottom of the de-prioritization list with T-mobile. If you check out the tello subreddit there's multiple people talking about this. I guess I should have done my homework more. TL:DR: Tello is cheap for a reason. You'll get de prioritized so you can't make calls, use data, text and nobody cares.
