Requires patience and time, but the outcome is worth it
Impressive conception and very engaging to put together. Requires patience and care. Particularly good for people who like assemling mechanical kinds of things, and who are willing and patient.

Use your biggest table!
Far from done yet, but having a ball working on it.

Functional fun
This was my first wood puzzle kit that I have assembled. I was amazed at how precisely all the pieces assembled. The pieces were easy to remove from the boards, and for the most part easy to fit into place. I can tell you that I did not break even one piece of the puzzle during assembly. They do provide extra pieces of many smaller parts, just in case you need them. I did take the advice of other builders and work on top of a towel. Should you then drop a small piece it wouldn't bounce away. The other good advice is to sand all parts to smooth the edges. Also, use plenty of wax when instructed to do so. It seems like a small piece of wax that they give you, but it is plenty large enough to apply it liberally. The puzzle will have to sit level to work correctly. Once level, only small adjustments were made to have it working smoothly. It was a very enjoyable build. I am sure to purchase another!

Fun toy for adults.
I got this for my birthday. It was a lot of fun to put together but it didn't hurt my fingers trying to get all the peices to fit and pop out of the molds without breaking them. I did build a few tools which was helpful but I didn't use one of them and I don't know why. I like that they gave extra of the smaller peices incase you lost them. Some of the peices seemed like they were going to break getting them out of the mold but I only broke one. The longer ones are the hardest. I like that the marbles go in many different ways but end up all at the end.

Age restriction is no joke
I am putting this together with a 9 year old. They would not be able to do this on their own -- but we knew that going into the purchase. It's really fun to put together as a team -- they do what they can (which is quite a lot), while I do the fiddly bits like removing the delicate pieces from their mold, managing the teensy little washers that hold the axels together and quality assurance/troubleshooting for assemblies.Quality of the pieces is really high. Instructions are great. And so far, assemblies seem to work, and do what they do in really clever ways. Sometimes an assembly will feel flimsy, and then the next piece will add the missing rigidity. I feel like I'm in good hands with the designer of this toy. This is going to take you HOURS, btw. I'd say we're 8 hours and about halfway through the instructions. (And we're already talking about getting the kit that connects to this one for Christmas).Honestly, this is more than a kid can manage on their own, they would be frustrated. Kiwico and Crunch Labs have much better options for the youngers. But the joy of doing something that initially feels dauntingly hard and seeing it all come together into a beautiful, working object is something potent worth sharing, and this isn't something we would get out of a simpler toy.

Very well received gift item by very different people
I gave two of these as gifts last Christmas. One to my brilliant scientist sister, and one to my doctor's 8th grade son. Both of them were so taken with it they tackled it the first day, and I've seen it running at my sister's. One surprise is that there are alternate paths the balls can follow. I didn't have time to see if that is somehow randomized or a pattern, but it adds even more visual interest. Both said it got a little fiddly at times, but such is model building.

Seller came through
This is my second model purchased from this company for my husband. He's a mech engineer so he likes working on these, no problem with the first. There is a defective or missing part for this one and we have notified the seller but no response. Since it is past the Amazon return date so we have to deal with the seller. I may change the rating if the seller provides what we need. Received new part.

A Challenge ffor this 70+ man with shaky hands
Great 3 dimensional wooden puzzle. My granddaughter loves this. Purchased the Space Port marble run and Romantic Notes wall clock as next challenges.Fun and challenging, be careful to read directions a few times as it is neccessary to follow them. I did braek a few parts, but ROKR came through with low $$ replacement parts. Great support!
