New shell
With a little internal mod this case was a perfect replacement for my busted old one. All i had to do was transplant all the internal battery guts into the case. Works perfectly like it is new again.

Only buy 15 cell kit here as that is the only one that is properly designed. Reviews support this.
I have bought these 15 cell kits before and have batteries in them and have been using them. DO NOT BUY THE 5 OR 10. The 15 cell are fine with the only negative is that it is hard to see the battery status indicator lights. Oem batteries have little plastic clear pathways like fiber optic for the led to shine out. It is a Minor complaint but can be annoying when checking charge. Otherwise they work and are designed well. If you know anything about these packs and how they are designed and have looked inside them, you will know from the picture that the 15 cell are the only pictures that show a properly designed set of busbars with the tabs on the top that go in for the bms monitoring as a combined purpose. The 5 and 10 cell kits do not have the properly designed bars with the tabs so no they do not provide bms monitoring included and the and according to other reviewers they are not laid out correctly based on how the batteries sit. Not sure about that. DO NOT BUY KITS FOR M18 THAT DO NOT HAVE PARTS THAT LOOK LIKE WHAT IS IN YOUR CURRENT PACK IF YOU HAVE ONE. ALWAYS CHECK LISTING AND PICTURES AND QUESTION ANY DISCREPANCY AND HOLD SELLERS ACCOUNTABLE IF THINGS DO NOT MATCH. THEY CAN BE MADE TO PAY FOR RETURN SHIPPING IF THINGS ARE FRAUDULENT OR MISLEADING.

DIY advanced kit to repair a broken M18 battery
i dropped my last M18 battery that came with my Milwaukee driver.I tried electrical tape but it was hopeless. The plastic housing was shattered into a dozen pieces. I could jam the exposed leads into drill base and tape it up and it would work but id have to replace the tape every time i wanted to charge the battery and risk total destruction if i dropped it again, (probably)Pricing batteries is crazy. It's $100 for brand name or$60 for a knock off? or buy just the tool of the other battery brands I haven't smashed and throw away a perfectly good drill because the battery is too expensive? All options suck.I decided to gamble on a cheap fix for $20. The package came with the top piece, the base and the holder unit for the batteries, a new circuit board, and some metal tabs and screws. You could rebuild the entire battery pack if all you have are the working cells. Most of the contents I threw away. I don't have the skills or tools for a total rebuild to resolder the new PCB so I tried to salvage the unsmashed bottom section of the old battery pack. I only needed the top piece with the clasp that holds the battery to the drill.I snapped off all the extra plastic bits on the leftover working piece and the top piece has some extra plastic bits i sheared off and jammed it all together with 3 out of 4 of the old screws. It doesn't really fit. There's a half cm gap between the new top piece and the old housing mostly because im too lazy to try to remove more plastic from the old housing. But it's enough to make contact on the base and the charger. I taped the crap out of it and it looks like hell. Good for another 5 years. No instructions provided. 5 stars.

price up quiality down
Every time I order these cases, they cost more money. At the same time the quality goes down. This time no labels, wrong screws, it just never stops . I will not buy this case again. I bought three of them this time. So after I do the next one I will try to write another review. If they will let me. I would not recommend this brand of case to a Ryobi owner!
