Very pleased that it removed chlorine smell from our city water & no longer had pinkish-orange water deposits building in shower. It worked great on our rain shower but then cracked at the connection about 3 months in. Still giving 5 stars because customer service was great & sent another within a couple days. Hoping it was just a weak spot defect in the first one. New one in use a couple days.

Purchased for our home and used for about a month and definitely noticed a difference in my hair and skin from our hard water. But, after a month of use the attachment portion to the shower head broke. I reached out to their customer service with photos and my receipt and explained the situation. They were super nice and sent a replacement. Will definitely be purchasing again.

I really loved this filter. We bought one for both bathrooms (we have the showerhead that goes with it) and it was great until one day I went to use it and it was spraying water everywhere from the top had cracked. I thought that was a fluke until the second one we purchased did the SAME thing in the same spot on the "neck" where it screws into the showerhead. Obviously it's out the return window for both items. As you can see in the pictures, it looks like a small thread where my finger is pointing but that's actually the crack. The whole point of buying this showerhead filter combo was because I was going to be able to replace the inside filter not the entire unit.

I purchased the Cobbe HD heavy duty high output shower head, and it’s been a great upgrade. Installation was quick and easy, and it fit perfectly with my existing shower arm. First a llittle history - I had another more expensive fiter (with Pod in the name), and that filter failed after a year of use. It was metal in construction, so it didn't fail at the spigot joint - it failed at the threaded juction for the two halfs. It would pop apart and spray waterall over the bathroom if I turned the water on too fast. I eventually used a large metal hose clamp to hold the two halfs together so I could use up the extra fiters I bought for it. After the filters were used up, I threw it out. Then I replaced it with aCobbe brand fillter. I had purchased two of the earlier versions of the Cobbe shower filters. Unfortunately neither one lasted a month before they broke. So, you would be asking, why I would I trust this brand again? Because I had purchased a box of extra filters, expecting to change the filters out. That box of filters has been sitting around for about a year. I didn't want to throw them out and waste the money I spent. Both filter housings had broken by fracturing at the threaded end becausse they weren't built thick enough or strong enough to hadlle the stress of a shower head attached to the outlet end. That stress was amplified by the fact that I had a handheld shower head attached to mine. My filter broke first, but two weeks later the second Cobbe filter also broke. So, I got an ideal while taking a shower. Why not attach the filter dirrectly to the handheld shower handle insteaad of the spigot coming out of thhe wall? So I ordered anoorrher of the Cobbe brand to ensure that the filters I had on hand would fit. When I got the new filter, I couud immediately feel a difference in weight. Seems improved over previous version. I think the new filter housing is much thicker than in prvious design - probably because of consumer feed back on breakage. But, I still dont trust it, so thus, you see how I have mounted it. So far it is holding up after a week, and hopefully it will last so that I can get my money's worth out of the filters I have on hand. If you buy one and attach it to the spigot and then attach your showerhead, I can not vouch for it's longivity. These fiilters are cheap enough that it might be worth the risk of mounting it that way. I can attest to the effectiveness of the filter - it has improved my dry itchy skin from all the chemicals in the water being removed - which is why I bouught a shower filter in the first place.
