Magical moisturizer
If you have dry flaky skin that just never gets softer no matter how much lotion you put on, buy this. Yes its expensive, but your skin will transform over night. The only other set back is when you apply too much you will smell some ammonia. But the smell dissipates, and the benefits outweigh the draw backs.

Great for Extremely Dry Skin – Noticeable Improvement
This lotion works really well for extremely dry skin. It can tingle a little when you first apply it (especially if your skin is very dry or freshly shaved), but that’s normal with lactic acid. The feeling goes away quickly, and it lets you know it’s working. It leaves my legs and body feeling very smooth and deeply moisturized. The combination of lactic acid and ceramides really helps improve skin texture over time without needing a separate scrub. My skin feels softer and more protected throughout the day. It absorbs well and doesn’t feel overly greasy, and the moisture lasts a long time. A small amount goes a long way, so the bottle should last. There isn’t really a taste factor since it’s a body lotion, but I recommend washing your hands after applying like with any skincare product. Overall, this is a great moisturizer for dry, rough skin and definitely makes your legs and body feel much better with consistent use.

Recommended by my dermatologist. Effective.
Recommended by my dermatologist for dry skin and exfoliation over using harsh sugar scrubs. The first time I used this, the itching from dry skin subsided. I had been slathering my body with different organic creams and body oils, which didn't work as well as using this one time. I have sensitive skin and I did not notice any adverse effects. Nice consistency.

Works but faint ammonia smell. Our Derm recommended this.
Our dermatologist suggested this for my son’s super dry and scaly hands. We really like how it feels and it cleared them up. Problem is it has a weird smell. Also like a faint ammonia smell. Doesn’t bother my son but I don’t like the smell! But it works so there is that.

Works Great, Smells Unbearably Bad
I'll start with the positives. This stuff works great. Like incredibly great! I have very dry skin and this stuff has made major improvements in my crispy, gross, bumpy, long-suffering winter skin after just a few days of use. It's truly amazing. Moving on to the negatives: Other reviewers who say it has an "odd" smell are apparently very kind people, or don't actually have real noses. This stuff stinks to high heaven. It has, for me, an intolerably bad smell. Like a combination of ammonia + cat pee + something petrochemical-ish + maybe some notes of rotting carcass. It's horrific, the smell. Like I want to run away from my own self while I apply it and I actively hate smelling myself after I've put it on. To be fair, the smell *does" dissipate after about 30 minutes, but I still smell it, faintly, many hours after having applied it, and then I want to run away from myself all over again. I haven't asked my husband if he can smell it on me, because I'm scared to know his answer. As a more neutral, though not entirely positive, point of feedback, it goes on sticky and tacky, but that does diminish some after a while, so that you'll be just a little bit sticky by hour 4 and your underpants should cease to stick to your butt cheeks at that time. As to the price: Sure, it's relatively expensive, but it does work beautifully, and perhaps smelling like something that's dead or dying is worth it to you! To summarize: - Pros: This stuff works beautifully and lives up to its advertised promises. I desperately want to love it. - Cons: The price you'll pay for beautiful skin is smelling like a rotting BCE dinosaur corpse that's been doused with 40 pounds of very old and dirty cat litter.

If you have dry skin and no lotions work - this is your girl
I have Hashimoto’s and get super dry, flaky skin—especially in the fall and winter—and honestly, this is the only lotion that keeps it under control. I’ve tried so many moisturizers over the years, but nothing works quite like this one. I stay hydrated for a full 24 hours, no problem. I found it thanks to Dr. Dray on YouTube (bless her), and I’m so glad I gave it a shot. It does have a bit of a scent—not perfumey, just kind of “clinical”—but I’ll take that any day if it means my skin doesn’t feel like sandpaper. Total game-changer for dry skin warriors. I use with a body oil to cut the scent, but honestly, I don't even smell it anymore since i've used this for so long.
