Sad, but I needed something like this in the shower to help me with my balance and kept me from falling. Just please read the directions to. Are sure you get them to stick properly. Also, check when you feel it might be slipping. Won’t fall off, but need to check anyway for your safety.

I know the intention of this item is to be used in showers and bathtubs. I bet they work amazing there. That being said I have a sliding glass door with no handle. So I purchased these. Absolutely amazing! I can place them anywhere on the door and they work! My kids tug and pull in then often and they are still adhered to the door by heavy duty suction cups.

If I could give this zero stars, I would. These MCDEX grab bars are crap, and I didn’t realize how terrible a product these were until my mother-in-law replaced this MCDEX brand with the Taili brand grab bars. Until we installed the Taili brand bars, the MCDEX bars had me thinking all non-permanent grab bars are flimsy by nature. My parter had a terrible fall after slipping in our tub and grabbing the MCDEX bar to stabilize himself. The bar immediately fell with him. Thanks to his training in the Marine Corps, he knew how to fall without any significant harm, his head narrowing missing the toilet. If it happened to me in my disabled & weakened body, I would have been seriously injured. By comparison, the material for the MCDEX suction cups are poor quality, thin and flimsy. There’s no adhesive or anything to actually help them stay secure. Sure, the MCDEX bars anre easy to adjust, but that’s because they are only good for light touches that don’t actually put weight into them. The Taili brand that replaced these have actual suction pads that are many times thicker and sturdier. They also have a strong adhesive on the pads. There’s no way the Taili brand ones are coming off, even with hefty weight put into it. Don’t trust the MCDEX brand bars or any positive reviews.

Amazing grip! Im a big girl. I recently had foot sugery and I am completely non weight bearing on my right foot. These hold up under the weight. They do come loose occasionally, so make sure to check them before going for it. Very easy to install and reset.

The grab bars work well when properly attached but will lose suction after a while and drop off.

I expected these grab bars not to work. They are excellent in our shower tub. It’s a typical plastic shower. Really strong & perfect to help keep you stable. Only one issue. After several weeks I noticed one of the suction cups was a little loose. Just reattached & was fine. Just check every time to be sure before relying on them.

I installed both in my shower. Had been having issues with standing and needed to make sure I didn't fall. They are stable and have been able to alleviate the fear of falling.

They stick for a few days and then come off walls. The clips pop open

Installed in shower for post operative safety Have kept them in as offer security having in place. The bar is a good grip size and certainly not flimsy The suction is extremely strong and hasn't moved at any time. Fantastic option to having to install permanent fitting into shower tiles.
