Hints and Caveats
There are no final assembly instructions. I've worked with GM Tubes before so I was able to figure out which end was which when installing the tube (the end with the solder inside is the Cathode; the other end is the Anode). The pictures on the Amazon website show the GM Tube installed opposite that of the schematic. I urge you to be careful when handling the unit, especially if it is turned on, the GM Tube clip near the corner can make contact with the brass standoff and present a high voltage to the nut on top of the plexiglass. I doubt the voltage will do you serious harm but it does bite. If you have to move the unit when it's turned on, use your thumb and forefinger to grab the middle of the long side of the plexiglass. The high voltage is inside the GM Tube and the risk of getting bit moving it this way is very low. After I got the whole unit together I used the included USB cable to power it. Note that the unit has a power switch near the power connector. You will probably need to slide the switch to make it turn on. When you do, a red LED will turn on. I have the unit sitting on a table with a logic analyzer connected to two pins of the three pin header (P3 on the side opposite the power connectors ). The pins are labeled GND, 5V, an VIN. The VIN pin is actually an output. It sits at 5 volts and spikes low for about 200uS for each GM tube event. I ran the unit and analyzer for 10 hours and collected 11,000 counts so background is about 1,100 counts per hour. I don't have any radioactive materials (not even a gem stone with Uranium in it) so I can't get above background rates. Since my entire goal was collecting background event times, this is exactly what I needed. I though about y goal when buying this unit was to collect background count timing data and this little unit does exactly what I wanted it to do. I thought about building my own setup but, at this price, why bother?

It works.
It works. My tube was a j315. The voltage adjustment was a bit low for the 3 x aa battery module that came with it. Guessing it was calibrated at 5v even. There was also a short sound cable, jumper set and usb to barrel jack adapter included. These weren't listed in the description so happy to get them. This is a standard design so calibration was easily found online.

It works !!
This device reacts very well close to my test card from United Nuclear . A loud fast clicking sound . I also bought a FNIRSI gc01 detector from Ali express - this device did not react at all - it didnt work at all !! .

If you wanna waste money, this is it
If you were looking for a cheaper alternative to the mightyohm geiger counter soldering kit, this isn’t it. My compliants about this: 1. This comes assembled 2. The acrylic top cover doesn’t match the PCB hole dimensions, so it doesn’t fit. 3. The inductor (L3) had one lead broken, and also I noticed that the height of this component exceeds the height of the standoff, therefore you can’t use the acrylic top cover. 4. There is no bottom acrylic shield/cover so the Geiger tube pins are exposed and remember this is high voltage.

Worth every penny!
This works well for the lesson plan I created and especially if you're into tinkering and Arduino. Worth buying for sure!

Great beginner device
Good basic kit that can accommodate many different Geiger-Müller tubes amd has IO headers. Silkscreen labels are not correct and production QA needs to be improved a lot.
